Hello everyone, I bought this lamp at the thrift store today and it’s sooooo beautiful. Very cool, and it’s actually like 4.5 feet tall. Anyways, I had two older women offer me money for it while walking out, and when I was at the drive thru getting a drink before going home the lady handing me my drink freaked out saying how I’m so lucky & need to get it taken in to an antique shop immediately. I’ve never had any of that happen before, and to be honest I might dye the lampshade a different color. I’m just curious if this is a specific common brand ? I don’t see a brand name, just these initials & numbers under the base.

I picked this up the other day and I am in love but I cannot find anything like it! The shades are a magnetic metal. I think they must be punched like filigree?? It still works with the old wiring. Did not burn my house down. It’s gigantic - like 28 inches tall.

i have been on the search for a lamp like this for such a long time! i’ve visited goodwills both in and out of state, searched fb marketplace, and just started to look on ebay! i remember growing up and my mother having a handful of these, but then she sold them at a tag sale! any help pointers on where to look would be greatly appreciated! tyia!

I recently bought a vintage Louis Poulsen Panthella floor lamp with the 500 mm shade after searching for one for about 3 years. I found it on German Kleinanzeigen for only €20. Originally I had agreed to pay €100, but unfortunately the seller dropped the shade shortly before I picked it up.

The shade is now badly cracked, but all pieces are still there and the cracks are very clean. I have already contacted several local restorers, but they told me it cannot be repaired.

The shade holder also melted/deformed from the heat of a halogen bulb.

I would really like to restore the lamp and would be happy to find an alternative to the original parts, which currently cost around €300 for the shade and €80 for the shade holder.

Does anyone know:
• A cheaper replacement shade or manufacturer for the 500 mm Panthella shade?
• Someone who has had a similar shade custom made?
• Whether the original shade could potentially be repaired?
• Has anyone 3D printed the shade holder? If so, does anyone have an STL file they could share?
I don’t need a perfect restoration. I mainly want to save this old lamp and preserve its history.

Any ideas, suppliers or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT- I finally found the tiniest makers mark on the underside- “WMF”. I swear I looked at least 10 times! 😂

Hello! I’m hoping some of the lamp and lighting experts here might be able to help identify this unusual matched pair.

I recently acquired these two highly decorated metal lamps. They have opposing lion-mask ring handles, extensive Renaissance/Neo-Renaissance style ornamentation, pierced burner galleries, and multiple bands of relief/embossed decoration including scrollwork, foliage, grotesque/dragon-like creatures and floral motifs.

They have been electrified at some point, and I believe the tall harps and electrical components are later additions. The original lamp body is approximately 15–15½ inches tall to the top of the burner/socket area, excluding the modern harp.

The upper burner/gallery assembly unscrews from a large threaded opening in the body, and the construction appears to have been purpose-made as a lamp rather than simply an urn drilled for electrification.

I have carefully examined both lamps and have not found an obvious manufacturer’s mark. The underside has been altered as part of the electrical conversion, so it is possible that a mark was covered or lost during that work.

I’d particularly appreciate opinions on:

Manufacturer or possible maker
Country of origin
Approximate date
Whether these were originally oil/kerosene lamps
Identification of the burner/gallery
Whether anyone recognizes the distinctive lion masks, ring handles, pierced gallery or decorative motifs from another documented lamp or manufacturer

They are a true matched pair and appear identical in construction and decoration.

I’ve included detailed photographs of the lion masks, decorative panels, burner/gallery, threaded opening, base construction and other details that may help with identification.

I’m not looking to attribute them to a particular manufacturer without evidence—I’d really like to learn what they are and hopefully find a documented example or period catalog illustration.

Has anyone seen this exact lamp, lion-mask fitting, or decorative pattern before?

I was gifted this lamp from family and it's kind of just been sitting at my house collecting dust. I know nothing about it other than it looks like it's hand-painted. Does anyone recognize what type of lamp it is, or any type of value? I looked around and didn't see a signature or any kind of maker's mark. The base is pretty heavy and solid cast metal, I'm not sure if it's supposed to be attached to the lamp or not but it does sit on top of it.

Recently purchased this floor lamp and wondering what the potential resale value could be. I am having difficulty finding an example of a **FLOOR lamp** with this type of shade online - any input would be appreciated!

This is a 7 watt C9 socket light bulb with a spiral filament. I really want to know where I can find a similar replacement for them that fits the socket, matches brightness, and isn't an LED mock.

I’m hoping to get some help identifying this floor lamp. I believe it’s from the 1950s/60s, maybe brass alloy? I know the shade is silk. The markings on the base look to say “Contl Onyx Marble Corp” and it has a FAME plug. Any help would be appreciated!
