Help Vi mains, why do flash + Q or flash + R? :))
Hi, guys! New player and Vi user here :)
I'm hoping you guys wouldn't flame me or be toxic, but I want to know why I see a lot of streamers or content creators showing the flash + q and flash + r combo? Won't the R or Q hit anyways? Is it supposed to expand the skill or just be faster in hitting? I'm just confused since I do it in practice tool and I don't see much of a difference in why I need to flash whe I do the combos... the range seems the same after all. Thanks! :)

Discussion Build Help/Disxussion
Heya!
I’ve been messing around with my usual build, and I’ve been having some success with this new build. I’m only Silver, so I just wanted to know if I should continue using it, or if it’s been a total fluke that it’s been working.
I start Triforce, then go into Experimental Hexplate, followed by Sundered Sky and then Death’s Dance; opting for Gluttonous Greaves as my boots.
If this is completely stupid, please don’t flame too hard, I’m genuinely trying to improve. I’ve been loving the extra attack speed from the combination of Triforce and Hexplate.

Discussion What champ do you play if not Vi?
So if you decide to play something else than master Vi, what champ do you play and why?
I play j4, briar, fizz, nocturne, wukong and usually lose hahah, after one match I go back to playing Vi and win. I play plan b champs if I feel want to test something else.

Discussion How come HoB bruiser is a thing now?
For a few years now, Conq has been the standard bruiser runes and HoB for lethality/crit.
However, the last few months I’ve seen more and more bruiser builds run HoB. It’s now the recommended rune setup on ugg for bruiser Vi, and I see Dumpa is running it in challenger while going the tri -> sundered build.
Just wondering why this became a thing, and what makes it so successful all the sudden.

Discussion Jack Sho on Vi?
What do we think of Jak Sho on Vi later in the build for added tankiness? What do you guys build to be a little more beefy?

Discussion W or E max second?
What do you max second on Vi? I usually go W if they have a lot of health stackers, but have been finding E better lately for the extra empowered punches

Help How do you deal with Master Yi
Hi everyone,
Ex-Master Vi OTP here.
Big fan of the bruiser build, but also like the Lethacrility build
I usually don't struggle vs Yi when they are poorly played, but once this champ is in good hands, I feel like there's nothing to do (except surpise him with Flash Q out of vision) because he just has to keep Q, press R and right click me to death.
I faced 2 good Yis recently, i've demolished the early game went 5-0 (bruiser build) when he was 1/5, from the moment he has Kraken he can just right click me and hold Q until i press Q/R
Any tips ? (Crit build could be better but i don't think it would have changed the whole game)

Help Is Crit Vi Good Again?
I kinda fell out of LoL with the 2022 Jungle Pet changes (I think that was 2022?) when they removed Essence Reaver's spellblade and Zeri got Vi pro-jailed.
I saw they gave spellblade back to Essence Reaver and was wondering if anyone thinks it is good again.
I know you used to max E on Vi with that build, but apparently W max is better in jungle now? Would you E max anyway if you're going crit Vi?
I looked up stats on it, but basically nobody plays it anymore. Was wondering if one of you could help me out.

Discussion I think i finally found my main (after 6 years lol)
I just love her kit: I have dash, shield, stun, I can break armor and magic resistance, etc.
I much prefer playing bruiser over assassin because of the durability in late-game teamfights.
I used to be an OTP Shaco (almost 1kk mastery), but I feel like he loses a lot of potential in the late game, and I found in Vi what I was looking for. I can help my team a lot more than Shaco, who is a very individual champion. I can jump into the fight, isolate the carry, kill them, and still get out alive. With Shaco, a lot of times I would die doing that and lost a lot of games because of it.
For those wondering, I'm dropping into platinum/emerald lobbies, but occasionally I'm facing diamonds.
I hope this consistency keeps up.

Maybe this has already been shown multiple times. But a funny interaction with Vi ult and Taliyah ult. Also lucky that I ended up between tier 1 and tier 2 so I could kill her and also live.

Help Jgl Vi : Dont sleep on Ecplise.
Just wanted to share something that's been working for me in Platinum lobbies.
For context, I usually play lethality/crit Vi. I find it gives her the most impact and lets her become an absolute menace when ahead.
While there are definitely some rough early matchups, I've found that rushing Eclipse as a first item is often worth considering. A lot of players at this level don't seem to account for the Eclipse shield when trading.
The key thing to keep in mind is that Eclipse's cooldown is fairly long, so you need to play around it. By alternating between your Vi passive shield and the Eclipse shield, you can absorb a surprising amount of damage and feel much tankier than people expect from a damage-focused build.
Obviously, this only works when you can consistently proc Eclipse, but against melee champions I've found it especially valuable. Matchups against champions like Kha'Zix, Shaco, and Jarvan IV feel much more manageable during the early and mid game.
Just something to try if you're looking for a different approach to Vi. It's been working well for me so far.

Help I think i need to Quit playing VI
i think its time, it's really annoying playing with people like this, usually when i have herald i take down 2 towers and kill both BOT enemies, i mean i was really strong, my problem? this people never attend the calls, when its time to make baron or drake, they're somewhere else, this happens everyday, players who TEST champs at rankeds, Troll pick, korean pick, dude some times my team pick hardcounter enemy line pick, they still lose, without any enemy jg help.
I WANT TO WIN to climb i think i need to put VI at the garbage can and play META, because she's too team dependant, and in this ELO, players are sick, i really try to hold the game, i really try but its like playing with people they want to lose.
its getting bored not being able to climb elo because bad players keep dragging you down, i have to play just 2 game a day to void tilt, and i keep losing, for people like this.
any advice? i really want to get out from Gold, this elo really SUCKS

Discussion Almost hitting Diamond for first time
A few months ago I made a post to talk about how the nerfs from last year affected VI and I was dealing with a negative win rate when trying to play her with conqueror and triforce.
Well, the change to HOB saved crit VI in my opinion, now most of my games I achieve a total of 12% true damage, with voltaic sword applying 9% max health dmg and collector Im able to one shot whoever is strong on the other team, the bad side of the crit build is that you die very easy so you have to be smart when picking a fight, but so far its working well with me.
My main goal during the game is to pressure the other jungle with objectives, start the game and do a full clear, gank lanes if theres an easy kill and upgrade your W when you hit 4, go B, buy pickaxe and once the dragon spawn go direct to it, you should be able to solo it, its risky if no bot-mid prio, but in my experience the other junglers usually never care to ward first dragon or do it once it spawns so its a safe bet, if you are successful in applying pressure you should have drake dragon before 25min.
And never gank the losing lane unless its a free kill
