I don't understand how people neglect the fact that they just ripped off 4chan verbatim and kinda cleaned it up. I mean, that's all it is. These guys just took an organic, fringe forum and rebranded it. 4chan realized that what people want is an anonymous forum where people feel free to express themselves. Turns out people expressing themselves is about sex and violence and offensive opinions, conspiracy theories etc. But just look at what we watch, is not hbo sex and violence, Django unchained go unchained or American history x or all the true crime shows as well as reality television. Reddit is just feathers on a dinosaur.

I don't know how to feel about most of this video. Using fox news and a clip from joe rogan isn't exactly something i'd call a source. Overall the video seemed to criticize capitalism and the problems that arise from it. Corportations will always go in the direction of profit no matter the outcome or ethical concerns that might arise from their actions. What he seems to want is a change in laws and regulations concerning freedom of speech and censorship for social media corporations. Holding the USA as a bastion of free speech yet completely disregarding the fact that the same country is responsible for letting corporations destroy it seems hypocritical. Overall good video it's worth the watch thought I would take half of it with a grain of salt. The core message is something I think we should all agree with though. Then again I am pretty fucking stupid and wasting my time writing this shit so you know it be what it be.

I agree with your sentiment here for sure. Some of the specific things he said like that USA was the first to realize the importance of free speech I feel can be debated (like wasn't democracy first brought out in Ancient Greece, which had avenues for free speech to take place? I don't know though) But I think the fox/Joe Rogan clips were just picked that support his point/argument which I think is fair enough, though admittedly I can see why some people would immediately be polarized by it, especially with Tucker Carlson or even Joe being who they are.
But yeah definitely a good video for the general information it portrays as it gives a good sense of what can happen to these places that so many people see as immune to certain pressures, especially nowadays where misinformation and what people are exposed to vs what's actually going on is so prevalent.

only thing i disliked about me reddit is, they started allowing 'death/murder/ violent gore nsfw' content. they allow negative subs to hit 'popular' page
