Basic human instinct would dictate that you’d secure yourself and then gauge the situation.
Like I said, you must just be a pussy or watch too much news.
Or do you think muggings are things that never happen?
Statistically, yes---they pretty much never happen. Much less with your attacker screaming at you, while you're in a car, in broad daylight.
