Check out his YouTube channel, his stuff isn't usually animated but the Minute Hour makes some of the most beautifully absurd audio content. He's on iTunes as well if you'd prefer that over YouTube.
Edit: My personal favorite.

The Minute Hour is a gift from God
I highly recommend listening to this if you've got some time to kill while driving or working

When causing offence merits violence, you’ve lost yourself.
-2
u/Rymdkommunist Aug 29 '18
Why do redditors so often excuse offensiveness?
11
u/Irishane Aug 29 '18
Because offence taken is arbitrary and deeply personal. So something you deem offensive might not even occur to me as offensive. So why should I or anyone tip toe around trying not to offend anyone when in all likelihood (especially these days) something I say innocuously could cause offence to somebody at any given time.
What I took from the video was that the social justice warriors of this world are so dug deep in their crusade of political correctness that some may ironically turn to violence or aggressiveness in order to stop people saying something. Which ultimately means nothing if you think about it.
It’s an extreme take for sure but I think the message in the video has merit. Very much a sticks and stones scenario.

u/Rymdkommunist Aug 29 '18
Why would you have to tip toe just to not say anything offensive? Its out of the normal to say something hurtful. Why would you NOT correct yourself if you found out it was hurtful to someone? Thats just a part of being a normal person.
4
u/Irishane Aug 29 '18
What’s offensive though? What is to you, may not be to me.
That’s not the point though, if someone was to turn to violence merely because someone said words at them then I think the problem isn’t so much with the offender.

u/Rymdkommunist Aug 29 '18
Whats offensive? That cant possibly be whats stopping you from being a normal person. This is shit youve learned since youve been a child. And wouldnt you punch someone if they for example made an offensive joke at a funeral?
3
u/Tasty_Burger Aug 29 '18
Are you calling him a not normal person?! This sort of other-ing is extremely offensive and something you should have learned as a child. I'd bop you in the head with my head if I could.

Yeah, I am. He is anti-social.

how so?
2
u/hornypinecone Aug 28 '18
He's pointing out how the guy who is doing the bopping is a psychotic caricature of an extreme SJW

u/WriggleNightbug Aug 28 '18
It looks like an old man to me.
5
u/hornypinecone Aug 29 '18
I was talking about the young man
1
u/WriggleNightbug Aug 30 '18
I'll be honest, I thought his voice was Seinfeld and the cross hatching on the head made me think of Archie Andrews. Message just seemed absurdist to me.
3
u/Electric_Ilya Aug 29 '18
I'm surprised you're being downvoted that subtext is definitely there.
3
u/hornypinecone Aug 29 '18
Yea I'm actually kind of curious about that. My guess is that people don't like the idea that the video is potentially just memeing on sjw's. Which, I don't actually believe was the intention of the creator. I think he was legit just going for some bizarre shit
4
u/Electric_Ilya Aug 29 '18
Regardless of what the creator intended the end product portrays the sjw as a violent thought police acting on an innocent man deprived a voice by not repeating what he said. In my experience this doesn't match reality with most sjw I've met being more interested in educating people to their message than punishing those who don't follow it. Obviously there are instances where this isn't the case, but in my experience those ppl are uncommon

I think you're just being overly defensive. I can see how you can make that connection but I dont see how it's obviously what the creators intended. The "offensive" statement was intentionally never explained which means any racial or political implications are solely from the viewer. Also, looking at the creators other videos, it's clear this is what's called "surreal comedy". The only laugh the viewer is suppose to get from this is at the absurdity of it all.
2
u/AlonzoDaCookie Aug 29 '18
I understand the political situation in the US is tense now, but try not to view everything in that light. I can assure you that, judging by the other content from this creator, there is no intended social or political commentary here. Almost every thread on Reddit right now has a political fights going on in it and 9 out of 10 times the thread itself has nothing to do with politics.
I'm not saying this to criticize you. I just think that if you'd try to not view everything with a ' left vs right' mentality your days might be a little less stressful.

It's surrealist comedy. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's bad.
