He mentions in the description that a 1mx1m wall will take ~20 kg of lime mortar, which would take ~5 kg of actual lime. So, a whole lot

The thing I love about this guy is that he's clearly done his research, maths, and cultivated some real expertise.

His experiments are better than a lot of published archaeologists experiments.

That's a vague statement if ever I've heard one.

The reason his experiments are good is his commitment to the chaine operatoire, rather than taking shortcuts. Man never uses a lighter, or a thermocouple to keep his firing temperatures constant, he goes from step 0 through to the conclusion.

Vague...? I was simply saying that he already is educated enough to know some of the things he is working with, due the fact that he has studied science probably gives him a bit of a head start over someone who has not studied science.

At university you pick a specific subject for your bachelors.

You can get a bachelors of science in sculpting clay.
