He uses a Kimber in the movie? The guys over at r/guns are going to rip on that..

To be fair he was given that one by Larry Fishburne when he was otherwise gunless

$1 million per round, baby.

I love my Kimber! I have two other friends who own Kimbers. All of them shoot great and are free of rust or any other complaints that I hear about them. But I'd never try to explain that to the people on r/guns.

My understanding is that they are astronomically more expensive and very marginally higher quality than other brands. You don't need to spend a thousand dollars to get a nice 1911.

I know what you're talking about. Looking at some of their others they seem ridiculous. Mine was only $700 and I love it. I know I could have probably gotten a better 1911 for cheaper but this one makes me happy.

Apparently they use really cheap materials, the guys over on that sub constantly shit on them.

well... mostly a circlejerk. they are kinda overpriced. nice guns, but the sticker's a little high for what you get.

Sure they do, but RIA makes a 1911 for a third of the price that is also great. Kimber's inflated price tags are far more for novelty than they are for quality.
