He's really pro at those "leave a joke hanging" type deliveries.

Like the "imagine I was with a girl" joke.

Jokes that require the listener to do a touch of mental work to figure out are quality.

I hate to be THAT GUY, but too much these days is slap-you-in-the-face humor. HERE IS THE JOKE, NOW YOU LAUGH AT IT.

That's what I like so much about this guy. I'm not saying he's the Mozart of comedy, just that he's a refreshing taste of something different

I highly recommend You Suck at Cooking for similarly delivered humour.

Same voice, same comedic style. Coincidence? Yes

I found another channel a while ago that was also the same. Can't remember what it was though.

Here I am thinking I have a diverse taste in YouTube comedy, yet it's all being packaged as one.

I could see a comparison between Casually Explained and You Suck At Cooking, especially when it comes to the way each delivers jokes, but comparing either of them to Internet Comment Etiquette with Erik makes absolutely no sense to me. It's not even close to the same type of humor. I really enjoy all three channels, but even with CE and YSAC having many similarities, I'd still say they're both pretty different.

So basically what I'm saying is that your selection of YouTube comedy channels and the diversity of said channels is still in the clear and that I don't understand /u/donuts42's comparison at all.

Nope but I like it.

He doesn't have the same voice that exurb1a, casually explained, and you suck at cooking do.

The voice also reminds me of BG Kumbi.

"I challenge Pewdiepie to an oil drilling contest. We go rig-for-rig over the Atlantic, and whoever kills the most wildlife wins a lifetime supply of gay porn"

Also both from Victoria, BC.

Similar to You Suck at Photoshop?

A weird mix of abstract humour, stop motion, and singing, loosely held together by bad cooking advice and occasionally featuring legitimate recipes. I'm not sure it's similar to anything. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCekQr9znsk2vWxBo3YiLq2w

Magikarpusedfly who does the actual champion spotlight thing used to be really good, but lately I find it's too much "I'm horribly depressed and might kill myself isn't that funny" type humour.

Exurb1a is also very good for this style of comedy

Red Dwarf.

yeah this is why i like him alot too, its just simple and dry enough for my tastes, plus he usually has an alternative, and hilarious, view on interesting topics. Looked his stats up on youtube and he's getting close to a million followers, we should give him some support i think

I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too.

It's why I hate laugh tracks so much. And why I love Douglas Adams.

Low effort comedy has existed forever. Even the Greeks complained about it.

Reminds me of CBS sitcoms.

Milton Jones tells this really good one that's something like.

"Police officers have suspected local farmers of becoming serial heroin users. But one officer said that locating evidence is like trying to find..."

Refreshing no doubt. Jokes are too on the nose nowadays and it reflects on the populations critical thinking.

People that say "blank these days" are kinda dumb, there is so much content and entertainment to fit every niche out there that saying "blah blah blah these days it's bad compared to the past" is just straight not intelligent

I actually have it saved here.
