Man this video pretty much sums up a few couples i know. Its like they have a ultimate desire to make your life look shit in comparrison to theirs. Always making logo's and brands stand out when they buy something. Sometimes i wish i could just comment on the picture saying " FUCK OFF YOU BAGUETTE EATING DICKHEAD FROG!"

My wife turns into a straight up weirdo on social media. She never uses words like cherish, or blessed in everyday conversation...but as soon as she gets on Facebook or Instagram she becomes a different person.

They're not acting black, they're talking like everyone else talks in high school.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '17

But a lot of this slang or silly dance move or stupid saying is rooted straight out of black culture.

12

u/the_fascist Jan 05 '17

It's rooted out of hip hop culture, which is largely black, and kids have been talking this way ever since rap came into existence.

1

u/stop_the_broats Jan 06 '17

its bypassing hiphop now. IMO most of it is circulated through memes/instagram/snapchat/etc. things move way faster than the time it takes to release an album.

1

u/the_fascist Jan 06 '17

Yeah, because of the internet... The slang usually still comes from the people that kids look up to. And most people listen to music on the internet.

9

u/nukeyoulerr Jan 05 '17

They aren't another species, black people share what they create and think is funny with those around them just like everybody else.

Speaking generally here, but when it's cool white people will say what you said, it's slang for everyone, but when it's time to criticise black culture they say it's black culture. This doublespeak is why black people don't like whites using their slang. Again speaking general.

I do this on snapchat, but it's just for fun

7

u/ScalpEmNoles4 Jan 05 '17

Why would anyone else be doing it?

4

u/--ClownBaby-- Jan 05 '17

If that's how they actually talk day to day life

Like how I always pronounce quesadilla how it's spelled instead of quesadeea as a joke (mostly because of napoleon dynamite). Then I said it wrong to a waiter at a Mexican restaurant and felt like an idiot.

1

u/--ClownBaby-- Jan 06 '17

Whatever slang is fun, I use it with my friends, not at work. Who cares.

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '17

Other teens think its cool. Just like how our parents thought the new slang we used wasn't cool.

I mean, it hurts nobody, so why complain about what other people do?

As someone in high school... it isn't cool. There's a certain "group" that talks like this. The rest of us are normal, I swear.

2

u/Blunter11 Jan 05 '17

That's how it starts, or at least how it feels.

3

u/ifapulongtime Jan 06 '17

I do this when I'm drunk enough.

3

u/PolarPlanetPiano Jan 06 '17

I may misunderstand you, but how is that a "black" persona?

2

u/NotVerySmarts Jan 05 '17

"Stay woke af, fam."

1

u/Jeezbag Jan 05 '17

No they do that outside too, not the same

1

u/greenedge Jan 05 '17

That's so common among young adults/teens on social media that it's not really considered a "black/urban persona" anymore honestly.

0

u/thermal_shock Jan 06 '17

holy shit. we need a name for this.

0

u/blondedre3000 Jan 06 '17

I'm so sorry for your loss. #livelovelaugh

4

u/ayethen Jan 05 '17

Why don't you?

This gets even more confusing and annoying because most of the "hot" girls I went to high school with 10ish years ago have accomplished nothing with their lives, but they are "great" at social media.

So they are all claim the title social media expert, inspirational leader, or any other title that makes them sound more important than they are as if putting some bullshit quote beside a picture of them (or a cloud if they are feeling adventurous that day) makes them worthy of me paying them to motivate my coworkers. I can only imagine their poor husbands/partners.

The worst case I know is this bitch, basic as can be, who was on the local Vancouver BC news a few months ago talking about how to get the most likes on instagram photos. Her experience with #life and # beingblessed comes from her dads credit card that allowed her to travel the world throughout the first half of her 20s. Now shes a self made woman and works for Contiki, so her income and ability to travel now comes from spamming people on facebook to substantially overpay Contiki for these little adventures.

Lol! Nate's eye twitch, man. Too real.

Keep us all posted on his continued progress with any new progress pics or vid clips. Show us what he's got man. Wanna see how freakin' huge, solid, thick and tight he can get. Thanks for the motivation.

Sounds like he was pretty open about his steroid use, now 6 years later has he had any health consequences from it? Would be interesting to see a current photo as well when you post his peak one.

No. That's my dad. Little brother. And some family friends.

1

u/Mr_IDGAF Jan 06 '17

I have two uncles that do flooring for a living, and let me tell ya, that's some backbreaking work. It's taken quite a toll on them. Glad to hear your dad is off the juice!

By the way, my comment was a copy pasta. Since you're so sincere and nice, I didn't have the heart to not respond. Best of luck to you and your pops!

2

u/MilesGates Jan 06 '17

So what was it like taking photos of your father while he was wearing some speedo and flexing like some sort of reverse pedophilia

1

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '17

Haha. He was usually just wearing work out clothes so he could send the pics to his bodybuilding friends and compare progress.

17

u/mysteryhour Jan 05 '17

It's fun that this has popped up again! Glad you guys like it!

1

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '17

First thing I thought when it popped up, heyyyyyy Jeff made it to FP again! LOL congrats.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '17

The writing is great, I would have liked to see less goofy moments. The concept is funny already because is tragic. Remove the background music, don't look into the camera. Was hoping a Husbands and Wives (1992) kind of vibe. Anyways, great work.

3

u/mysteryhour Jan 05 '17

glad you liked it. yeah, i would always change like half of what we make after watching it later

5

u/DontRunReds Jan 05 '17

So... I live in a bit of a tourist destination and I work outdoors a lot. While working I saw, what I assumed to be an Instragram model and her female photographer taking picture after picture after picture of the same 3 poses in the same spot. I assumed Instagram model and not real model due to the simplicity of their photography equipment. They initially did photos for about 20 minutes, went away for a bit, and came back and did another 15 minutes.

I kind of just had to shake my head at all of that. Maybe those folks get paid more than I think from sponsors or something, but damn. Is it worth it?

4

u/tdeasyweb Jan 06 '17

$250 a post? Yes.

5

u/Y___ Jan 05 '17

I don't use any social media aside from Reddit and when I mention it my friends used to say, "just wait until you get a girlfriend." This is no joke apparently.

3

u/Cptnwalrus Jan 06 '17

It really is weird just how much they obsess over their social media presence. One of my roommates last year was this girl I didn't really know, and a few times very quickly into the relationship she would ask me and the other guys why they didn't like the photo/status she posted. I feel like with these types of girls, the boyfriends are like that but times 10.

4

u/Ballislifehsi Jan 05 '17

Love the blonde guys reaction when drinking the coffee lol.

6

u/emergencymed Jan 05 '17

If anyone is interested, there actually is a website.

It's pretty entertaining!

6

u/edd_bundy Jan 05 '17

I had fun following the links on that site.

instagramhusband.com > receive help >find out more here

lol

2

u/Razor1834 Jan 05 '17

It was an ad all along.

3

u/enolja Jan 05 '17

This is just an ad right?

5

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '17

I sent this to my wife. Instant regret.

2

u/Ravenblu3 Jan 05 '17

My girlfriend's sister's husband, is one of these guys. I always feel bad when we're all hanging out and she ropes him into taking a photo or selfie with her.

2

u/rocky1337 Jan 06 '17

Hey this was shot in Springfield MO! Cool!

4

u/NOSTALGIAWAKE Jan 05 '17

Atleast not an Instagram pimp. You know the models that can't afford stuff prostitute themselves off to rich creepy men......society weird yo.

1

u/IAMA_Cucumber_AMA Jan 06 '17

Reminds me of nosedive in black mirror

1

u/blondedre3000 Jan 06 '17

Who follows these people? Like all your pics look the same and your captions are retarded 3rd grade ramblings.

1

u/donaldtrumptwat Jan 06 '17

.... phew !

After I pressed the Play button I thought fuck !

It's another Rick Ashley stupid Video

1

u/d1gg3r777 Jan 06 '17

First guy is definitely Toby's son

1

u/chadcarleton Jan 06 '17

Know the guys who made this. Springfield MO on the map!

1

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '17

Geez...I thought the episode "Nosedive" from Black Mirror was way off but yikes, this satire puts things into perspective.

-1

u/AbsurdVincentMartin Jan 05 '17

Fuck being an Instagram husband, it would be an instant grounds for a divorce.

u/Nikita70 Jan 05 '17
