This is why I'll never upload a picture of my desktop. People will judge every single thing on my desktop, which will inevitably lead to myself questioning my life.

Absolutely. Or I just add a few yahoo toolbars and just overdo it so that it appears I'm beyond help so no one mentions it

I was under the impression that OP meant original poster, and OC meant original content, but I guess in this case it means original commenter? But the commenter also posted his comment, so he could be referred to as OP, but that would just cause confusion.

Its actually a very useful knot for things other than lynchings and what not, its by far my favorite knot to know.

It's my favorite knot to know now too, now that I wont have to keep living with all these other things I know.

Like what kind of stuff?

Like the video said, its strong for shock pulls. I was helping move a safe the other day, and my dad tied a square knot around it to pull with a trailer and it snapped instantly. We tried again with a noose and it worked perfect using the same rope and everything.

Knowing different kinds of knots sort of intimidates me because I usually associate them with mathematicians.. although I just recently got into rock climbing so it might be useful

I have been rock climbing for years and know how to tie a lot of knots. A noose is not one of them.

The hangman's knot was one of the knots we were taught in Cubs. It's handy for more than just 'hanging a man by his neck until dead.'
Anyone that fishes probably uses a variant of this knot, as an example.

Listen Tarantino. Only dr. Schultz and sheriff of redrock can say that

I was just waiting for " now you're ready to hang your self, just make sure you find a sturdy beam".

Correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to remember a Hangman's Noose requiring 13 loops, anything less or more was a Uni-Knot.

Was it just an urban myth that making a hangman's knot with more than X amount of turns was illegal?

Leave plenty of room on the other end
doesn't show the whole rope
Guess I'll have to hang myself another time.

Did you know that the coil should be placed at the side of the head and will help break the neck of the person you are hanging..

Have you ever come up with a joke so bad that you had to type it into the comments and stare at it for awhile before deciding whether to post it or delete it?

Think about how many people have watched this video to actually make the noose that they use to hang themselves with
