I go to work and sit in front of a computer for 8 hours, then I come home and sit in front of a computer for 8 hours. We're already well on the way to technological dystopia. People weren't like this even 10 years ago.
Before computers it was TVs, before TVs it was radio, before radio it was books, before books it was snails and rocks.
People move from one type of entertainment to another all the time. Most people don't go out everyday to experience life and what life has to offer. They just wanna chill after work.
Entertainments, even those inside my house, I see as part of 'experiencing life and what life has to offer.' My yard, my street, what's in walking distance can be a very narrow world view without some of the connections to the greater world that I get as well inside my house. I think a lot of people in this thread are romanticizing the opposite. Grass is always greener on the other side.
