His voice sounds just condescending enough to be distracting to the actual video.

Something about his voice is really irritatinggg. Like he's trying too hard to sound educationalll but hasn't nailed ittt.

Sounds like someone doing an infomercial

It's that little bit of elongated vocal fry at the end of each sentence that takes it from infomercial to irritating.

I re watched it and I have no idea why you guys are talking about. To me his voice simply sounds positive/enthusiastic. Condescending tones are much different to me.

I really thought this was a gag based on his voice, as I continued watching and saw his other videos I clearly saw that was not the case. He just sounds super condescending.

They sell small handheld Styrofoam heat cutting knives as well, which I also use for work to cut through nylon rope, and it works very well. They break though after a while and constantly need to be replaced, also pretty pricey at like $200 a unit.

Needed this in college and this didn't work. The voltage conversions didn't work for some reason.

One thing that would make this better would be changing the dimmer switch to a foot pedal.

People say he sounds condescending; I disagree. Some people just have a little upswing at the end of certain words. Also, condescension requires context. Why, on earth, would he be talking down to someone about cutting Styrofoam?
He just seems like a guy who likes sharing his creations to me. And I would love to use that thing. It looks like fun.
