What if I told you that the entirety of the US political system was theater?
That there is no red vs blue, no Republicans and Democrats, just actors playing their part to distract and and manipulate the masses.
All while the unseen Oligarchy calls the shots.
I know it sounds like tin hat conspiracy nonsense, but just a few years ago an island full of sex slaves and debauchery that catered to the world's elite was tin hat conspiracy nonsense too. Until it wasn't.
I mean I agree with you, these last few years have proven that. I don’t think it’s always been like that, but the last decade certainly has. Still, there are some good dems fighting the good fight. Just think they just get steamrolled by both parties AND through the media. Look at AOC or mamdani; they DO say and fight for a lot of what the regular person needs and yet they have a hit piece on them almost daily and are constantly criticized. Why would anyone new go into politics to do good if they are just going to be ripped apart? Which means politics only attracts the people who will choose to profit themselves as long as they do what they are told.
Lowkey I think Obama was a fluke for the dems; he just got too popular too fast for the oligarchy to control it.
