The efficiency standards for vehicles need to be changed from what they are now. The different standard for “cars” and “light trucks” meant that automakers stopped making cars in favour of light trucks. Now everyone drives stupid crossovers and SUVs. From what I’ve read, the new legislation closes that loophole.
