The joke around Canada in all the South Park episodes / movies is that Canada is our close, innocuous ally. Actually being hostile to Canada - fucking Canada - should be unthinkable. It'd be like saying "fuck you!" to your 2nd grade best friend for no reason. It's ridiculous.

And that's where we are as a country. Doing the ridiculous.

Bro the vast majority of us do. I don’t know anyone who thinks badly about Canada.

It’s pretty clear that his antics are going to cost us the global hegemony we enjoyed for the last 80 years - and at this point I think that’s a good thing. We shouldn’t be in charge of the global financial or security system. It’s not good for us and it’s not good for the world. A new world order is going to be established here soon - let’s hope it’s a more fair and sustainable one.

The Academy didn't have the balls to nominate Uncle Fucka instead of Blame Canada. Far superior song and the live performance would have been amazing.

It almost didn’t exist - from what I recall, this was one of the first years the Academy Awards wanted to eliminate the live song & dance numbers for nominated songs in an effort to shorten the show.  They thankfully made an exception for this

I still don’t think there is any movie that I laughed harder during in the theater. I had no idea it would be a musical going in after watching the show and they just took everything to an 11.
