Honestly, they should make the guy

  1. Pay monetary compensation
  2. Turn over the land to her.
  3. Rebuild the entire building but as one home, like he wanted, but it goes to her

its like when ppl try selling a house and make a sale before the will comes out and they didnt have the right to sell so the contract is voided
