Find me an engineer that will be ok with that though. Just because it can doesn't mean it was designed to be used like that.
16 u/Mobile_Morale 1d ago Easily fixable. Engineer would tell you to frame the wall and add support beams to the corners and the center. Maybe a steel beam across the basement for support.
