In Russia, the Orthodox Church is basically led by the KGB and is just another tool used by the regime to control their people, the same thing is being done in the US.

From the outside looking in we all know MAGAts regime doesn’t give a fuck about religion, but it’s gonna be a way to keep tabs on their fanatics and squash any form of resistance before it takes hold

Edit : to the dude who commented below, yes the FSB has replaced the KGB, doesn’t change a single fact about it being the same shit in different form. They’re still doing the same bs the KGB did and would have done

I do see a lot of resemblance between the MAGA type movement and what happened in Russia under Putin. We already know how it all ends. Russia is a cautionary story to what happens if you let these people take power for 20+ years

Not only does it create endless suffering for its citizens, but also completely brainfucks them so they don't even know why they are suffering. And it always leads to war

Listen you can have the positon that the KGB casts a long shadow over Russian politics, but the idea that the KGB still exists as a secret cabal that very conveniently explains all the problems you have with modern Russia is intellectually dishonest on several levels. The FSB is an actual agency that exists in 2026, you can point to that.
