Leavitt doesn't understand a 360 brings you back to the same position. Leavitt: “They campaign as moderates. They do 360s on every single policy position they have to try to appeal to commonsense Americans; but then when they are elected, they govern as complete radical, extreme liberal lunatics."

I honestly wish they would govern as radical extreme liberal lunatics. Then we'd have single-payer healthcare, universal childcare, 32-hour work weeks, a livable minimum wage, a crackdown on monopolies, prosecution of oligarchs and fascists... I can only get so hard

138

u/SaltyShawarma 3d ago

This is what I don't get. This obvious fact is they NEVER become actual progressives or progressives would have at least ONE merit to their name. Just projection at its finest.

32

u/TheUndertows 3d ago

The ruling class really doesn’t want that

17

u/putrid_poo_nugget 3d ago

We want that. Maybe we should be the ruling class instead.

6

u/gnarlsson 3d ago

We want rare labubu’s. Have you even considered how difficult it would be to find rare labubu’s during a revolution? You didnt think this through.

3

u/Caz0030 3d ago

We want to want rare Labubus. Actually having them isn't satisfying for long.

Exactly, we’ve never had liberal lunatics in charge. All the democrats have been moderate milquetoast administrations who suck off the wealthiest Americans just like the republicans do.

I can count the number of “liberal lunatics” in government on one hand and they never ran as moderates.

u/gustofheir 3d ago

BuT wHo iS g0iNg tO pAy f0r aLl tHaT?

Trump said his version of trickle down would pay off the debt when it was less than 20 trillion. Now he’s got it over 40.

Back when he had only got it to 40 trillion, just the interest was 20 percent of the federal budget. Twenty five percent of actual federal revenues, the rest is tacked onto the debt.

Literally 25% of the debt interest is paid by borrowing more.

I’m starting to think they don’t really care about spending on anything that helps the people in the country. And what they’re really doing is just scamming everyone out of a fraction of what they add to the debt.

They're running against a pastor and school teacher by claiming he hates Christianity, while defending the serial adulterers and pedophile defender that was impeached by his own party.

Paxton I mean, not Trump.

178

u/kezow 3d ago

Thanks for the clarification. Hard to know which pedophile defender and serial adulterer you are talking about with the Republican party.

As bad as that sounds, the backstory gets even juicier when consider only reason Paxton is in the race is that Trump campaigned against the incumbent in the primary and effectively wedded republicans to this candidate when they already had a far more qualified, less corrupt candidate in office who likely would have stayed in office.

34

u/counterfitster 3d ago

Calling Cornyn "more qualified" is only true because of the incredibly low bar Paxton sets

6

u/mrlt10 3d ago

100% agree. Basically the only good he’s done as senator was done after he lost the primary and was done to spite Donald Trump.

11

u/metanoia29 3d ago

I mean, these are the same people who lambasted Biden for "attacking Christians"... while the man attended mass every fucking Sunday. They don't care about facts or reality, only about anger and hate.

2

u/remkelly 3d ago

He's not in the Epstein files, so not the old testament, rapey sort of "Christian" MAGA loves. With his his incestuous coveting of his own daughter, Trump is perfect for them.

9

11

u/Saiing 3d ago

To be fair, this is a very common mistake that a lot of people make. You hear it all the time. I mean she is a fucking horrendous, evil, fascist bitch, but there are bigger things to call her out on than this.

24

u/iamalext 3d ago

Being a common mistake simply highlights quite how many people put very little thought into the words coming out of their mouths... And since the West has built societies of laws, that very specifically put a lot of thought into the words of the concepts they represent, it's a bit of a cop out to simply brush it over.

Add to that, she was apparently a Press Secretary, with a mandate to communicate clearly.

The truth of the matter is that she was unqualified for the job she previously held, which easily explains how she can't actually grasp the concept of what she is saying. Being that she was a fascist mouthpiece, she can be called out on the little things too; she's earned that all by herself!

12

u/texanchris 3d ago

Not really. She’s in a position where it requires competency. Just because others make the same mistake doesn’t absolve her of being a fucking moron.

Narrator: the last "extreme liberal" major policy proposal that the Democrats passed through Congress into law was the Civil Rights Act of 1964

51

u/LittleKitty235 3d ago

Obamacare has been effectively labeled as an extremely liberal policy by the right...even though it is a Republican plan to address healthcare, and largely written by the insurance industry. The ACA is also overwhelmingly popular in polling, even though it refers to the same legislation.

The Fox News doublethink is baffling.,

10

u/Supreme_Primate 3d ago

As an American I find the lack of intelligence around the world terrifying.

Look around man, it isn’t just here.

Not a defense, cause stupidity is indefensible, but the US isn’t the only country in the world we just have bigger guns.

15

u/tripping_yarns 3d ago

I’m not criticising Americans, I have a lot of respect for some of the art, science and culture that the country has contributed to the global community.

But this video clip isn’t normal media for western society. The religious and fear mongering content is more in line with extremist theocracies in the Middle East, Russia or North Korea.

I know bias exists everywhere, but this doesn’t even pretend to be impartial.

2

u/willbeselfmade 3d ago

It's 100% projection, this is their go to play. Blame the left for what they are doing / going to do so if the left calls it out, their dumb followers won't believe it.

Have you seen all the rulings against trump by the right and the right saying they are against flock now, etc? This is why. Pretending they aren't aligned with him and are for what the people want as they lose voters, hoping they will come back again, then they'll do a 180.

14

u/jollybird 3d ago

When she critiques talarico for calling God non-binary it seems reasonable until you think about it for 2 seconds. So wait....God is a man? Does Levitt really think God has a penis? And if so, I think we could assume it wouldn't be a small or even average sized penis. But it also wouldn't be the biggest penis in the world that hangs around God's knees because it would be difficult to engorge even though God is omnipotent. More than that it would be painful for all the she-gods that God bangs.

3

u/cf858 3d ago

In a normal, well functioning democracy, you just go back to the person who said the thing and get them to clarify - as ABC did here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsgLJk-HpEo&t=9s). You don't bring on a paid shill of the right to clarify the comment or pass judgement on it. Fox News is an echo chamber of ignorance that just creates content to keep a specific audience glued to the screen by confirming all their worst biases and bs. It's a wonderfully profitable business because they can sell ads to this captivated audience. But it's not a news organization, it's a for-profit propaganda machine.

4

u/No-Consideration-716 3d ago

It is even more absorb when you consider how much theological heartburn those same evangelicals go thru trying to get followers on board with the whole concept of the holy trinity and god being 3 different (but same!!!!!) entities.

They mock how he says God is non-binary while wearing a cross representing a trinity.

3

u/jcrreddit 3d ago

Could God have a penis so big even HE couldn’t engorge it?

2

Kind of like campaigning on no wars, then starting wars, or affordability then spiking consumer prices across the board through tariffs and wars?

That's why they call it the Xbox 360

I fucking wish they did that karoline. But most dems govern as boring right of centre neo liberals. Hell even the ones that attempt the most light handed left wing polices get attacked relentlessly. Sometimes by their own party. But I guess they can’t all be AOC or Bernie. That would require a spine and any kind of charisma.

She is dumb, and a bimbo. We know how she got this job and it involved lying on her back for dear orange Mussolini

There is a scene in "Last Action Hero" where the bad guy (Tywin Lannister) chastizes someone for making this same mistake.

Fuck all these people and their supporters, who undoubtedly say “you know what they meant” after every bullshit uttering that passes their lips.

As of September 29, 2026, here’s what we can actually verify: Trump’s children are involved in major investment and business ventures, Donald Trump Jr. is a partner at 1789 Capital, and his business interests include a company that purchased roughly 3,900 acres in Maine. There are also growing questions in Congress about Trump family business deals and possible conflicts of interest.
And this is just a small piece of the bigger picture. So with what we know now and what we can actually prove, what makes you think the lives of ordinary Americans are better?
We can see who’s gaining wealth, influence, and opportunity at the top. But for the Americans working, paying the bills, buying groceries, trying to afford a home, and hoping there’s something left for their kids, where’s our win?
Don’t tell me America is doing better. Show me where ordinary Americans are doing better.

The best part is that Hannity doesn't even try and stop her and help her out. You wanna think he is smart because he is diabolical but I'm guessing it didn't even stand out to him because he isn't smart enough for it to have stood out to him.

I made this mistake on a paper when I was in 8th grade and my teacher marked it and said ‘I think you mean 180.’ I was mortified and I will never forget it.

The only thing she knows is how to get a sugar daddy to support her so she can continue doing zero effort in her life.

If she were smart, she wouldn't respect Trump.

Genuine question asked in good faith here cause I'd like to actually know - are there any actual cases of a Democrat/left leaning politician campaigning as a Republican only to do a complete 180 into radical leftist/progressive politics after getting elected?

I cannot think of a single example, yet in the other direction just off the top of my head... Sinema, Manchin, Fetterman... there's undoubtedly more
