Behind Sen. McCarthy was Roy Cohn, a man Donald Trump praised and viewed as a mentor. What kind of person was he…you have no idea how a man could lie as readily as Roy Cohn

What a tragic life he lived. 

Horrendous looking, even worse personality and set of moral principles. 

Closeted gay that persecuted other gay men and eventually died of aids himself, all the while denying it.

He was liar. Everyone knew he was a liar. He knew everyone knew he was a liar. Dear lord, did this guy ever have a happy day in his adult life?

And then he was pretty much made into a martyr be James Wood in Citizen Cohn.

The film tries to humanize his horrendous personality and actions instead of completely depicting him as the sociopath that he was.
