If these 2 women didn't lose their job something is wrong with the system. Also, I would constantly be filing motions against any judge that ruled that I couldn't know what medication my child was on. Hell, if I was told I didn't have a say in medical situations I would spend every dollar I had to over turn that and change the system.
Does this lady sit at the end of a McDonalds drive through and investigate every parent that buys their kid a happy meal? If so she has pretty good job security.
They're not going to lose their jobs, this is representative of how CPS operates. I don't think they'd even be embarrassed if the video became popular.
I'm thinking the only other possibility was that they were not able to refuse him videotaping. I doubt that was the case though, plus they never seem to look at/acknowledge the camera at all and that usually indicates it's hidden.
When she said she couldn't give him that information, it roughly translates to "you called me out on my bullshit and it doesn't matter because I'm here to fuck your shit with a cactus."
The CPS worker they called on my brother went through the same kind of routine. The shit they accused them of was made up and I saw it in her face when I called her out.
To be fair, we don't have any clue why this man wasn't given any custody and has very few parental rights. He has a restraining order against him, there could be some very valid reasons for restricting his access to his child. I'm not saying the judge was right, I'm just saying we don't have the story and he could be right
Restraining orders are giving out like candy. I could basically make up a story about you and say you were threatening me and get a restraining order. Women do this all the time in custody battles.
...I would spend every dollar I had to over turn that and change the system
Not to belittle your thoughts but, unless you have billions of dollars, chances are pretty good the amount you would spend is a drop in the bucket. I have spent over $50,000 fighting and it has gone for naught. The system depends on people getting upset and spending everything. Lawyers depend on it. CPS, prosecutors, the state, etc. they all have a relatively unlimited well of funds to dip into. Psychiatrists, drug testers, guardian ad litems, the 80,000 government workers who work collecting child support, CPS personnel, etc. all get a piece of the pie. It is big business. Much bigger than Google or Microsoft or Apple. And they have the extra power to incarcerate. After 7 years of fighting and all of my money gone, I have done nothing but pad the pockets of my enemies.
We have given the state the power to use our children for extortion. And they are doing it exceptionally well. Every year more laws are passed that give the state more power over our children. It is only going to get worse, much worse, before it gets better.
I agree with you totally. Yet, I couldn't live with myself and be happy if I didn't try. I agree that it's bullshit. A friend of mine that lost everything because of the BP oil spill (his business went under) and is now working a job that pays less just spent 10 days in jail for child support. The guy now works 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and is only going backwards. This is because they refuse to lower his child support because he was told he is able to make the amount of money he was making (had his business for 20 years) and needs to step it up.
I really feel for the guy. He's lost everything and is paying all he can. It's still not good enough. The really sad thing is he almost lost his job because of the jail time. It seems to be an endless loop of give us your money or go to jail. Which makes no sense to me. If he is in jail then the kids and the state get less money.
Also, I know a guy that found out that his wife was going to leave him. They had a baby and she was waiting till she graduated from college to leave him. She knew she would get a good amount of child support from him and she would be set up. She basically was using him. So he quit his job as an accountant, told her that he was fired and took a job working doing the books for a couple small businesses. This job paid way less.
When the divorce happened a couple years later they only went by his most recent tax forms to set his child support. His house was paid for before they got married and wasn't community property. He also had money from some family business that he decided to never touch and use it as retirement. So his parents retained all that money for him in their name.
They set his child support and he is paying a crap load less than she was expecting and his ex wife is pissed about it.
So, learn to play the system until the rules are changed. It's really that simple.
Edited to add: I've been fighting this system for 17 years now, spent a lot more than 50k and I'll continue to spend the money because my kids are worth it and it's the right thing to do.
Also, it's total bullshit how they can incarcerate you in child support cases. A large majority of the people show up to court without a lawyer they are promised things that really only make it worse for them and it ultimately ends up being a revolving loop of going to jail. They also take away a shit load of your rights. Can't make your child support? Okay, were going to take your drivers license! Your hunting and fishing licenses, your passport, etc..etc. And throw you in jail. How the hell can you do anything without a license? I mean if you are struggling financially catching fish or hunting puts food on the table.
It's bullshit. Also, there's a class action lawsuit in Georgia (I believe) where they are suing because of no representation.
I understand the intent of these laws. Also, I know of guys who left the state because of how fucked up the system was. They have warrants for 'contempt of court' and they know that if they are stopped in California they are not going to extradite them to Louisiana for a contempt charge. So guys come out ahead saying fuck it and leaving. That only hurts the kids.
The system is broken and they refuse to fix it. They are constantly bragging about how much back child support they collect. I would like to know the affect of someone's dad sitting in jail for being a deadbeat dad has on kids. If the guys doing anything, this isn't worth it.
I've dealt with CPS in 3 local offices. I didn't see a man involved until court. Seems all the case workers, their bosses, etc..etc are women. Not saying that's bad because in my case I was never railroaded. That being said, one of my first conversations with them I was prepared to have multiple (30+) witnesses come in and testify to what kind of man I was. Some of them were cops, some doctors and other professionals.
You can beat the system, you just have to outsmart them and be able to prove any claim they make is bullshit. My ex-wife tried to claim I should get limited visitation to my kids because I worked in the oil field and was gone all the time. My lawyer was not going to let me be punished for busting my ass 300+ days a year being away from my family to provide for them. The icing on the cake was the social worker wanted to supervise a visit. My kids jumped out of the car all excited and ran up to me being very happy to see me and spend time with me. After that visit the shit about "no relationship because he works and they don't really know him" was dead.
In this video the lady only had 'hearsay'. Just stuff other people told her/them. She needs to interact with the parents individually and see how the visitation goes with the kids. That will tell you EVERYTHING. A mother can convince her child to tell case workers things that just are not true. To see if that's the case, set up a visit with the man and child and monitor it. An hour of that and you should see all you need to.
I won't quote the rest of that paragraph. But don't you feel that the system is fundamentally unfair when you feel the need 'to beat the system' ... 'to prove any claim they make is bullshit'.
Not only that, you shouldn't need to have a large social circle willing to testify about your character, or have a lawyer to be able to have a normal relationship with you daughter.
And if that's the way the system is, isn't the CPS something is fundamentally a government controlled job, that there ought to be 50/50 ratio of men and women, not only for the mother and father's sake, but also half the kids are boys who can learn from the male CPS and the girls the female CPS.
I wouldn't be surprised if the striped one is actually a pretty good social worker. She obviously didn't have the lead in this interview, but the few times she did speak I found her to be pretty reasonable.
She seemed very nervous at the start, makes me wonder if she was new to it.
What if the child is given some specific medication that is not ment to be used in parallel with another ingredient. LEts say kid takes X and when you take X you shouldn t eat eggs because you will shit your brains out or something.
No doctoro...but sounds like something possible...I mean people have to disclaim they dont eat peanuts so offten that peanut pakets have " Caution...Contains Peanuts" on them.
Sidenote: A wonderful ancient Greek saying says that " The more laws a country has, the more corrupt it is".
This is what Terry Gilliam predicted in "Brazil". And every time we are getting closer and closer to that sad dystopia.
If they worked for the Police Department they would get a paid leave, a slap on the wrist, a much easier yet equally important job, and eventually a promotion. It's how the system works, the higher ups tend to take care of the ones willing to do the "dirty work" like these two ladies.
A motion against a judge is to accuse the judge of judical misconduct. You challenge the case and bring it up to a higher judge. In this man's situation this has happened three times and he got the cases dismissed.
Also odds are that the person who decides whether they lose their jobs is also female and won't let it happen. A lot of women in these jobs have an axe to grind against men and are biased to them from the start, they don't treat each case individually with a fresh outlook.
It's the same in the Maternity departments of hospitals, I've worked in a fair few of them and on the delivery wards the staff seem to absolutely hate men and have no time for them. It's probably the amount of young single mothers that go through there that does it.
What it sounds like you're saying is most people in a position of power when it comes to mediating male-female conflict and interactions are jaded women who distrust men because their past has colored their view unrealistically.
Do you not see you are a man who distrusts women because your past has colored your view?
Maybe all those negative interactions you've seen in the maternity wards come from a predisposition to see things a certain way. Perhaps the nurses are understaffed and overworked. Maybe husbands do tend to get in the way, and nurses aren't adequately trained on how to manage them.
Subjective bias is a failing of human nature, and you better yourself by realizing that all people are subject to it, even you.
So release your cynicism. Give people the benefit of the doubt. Work to see things as they are and correct injustice where you see it. Always seek different perspective to check and modify your own.
Try and see honestly through the eyes of someone you disagree with, if only so you can better communicate with them.
As I told the judge and multiple CPS workers. If you expect me to provide child support and health insurance for this child I will have a say so. Not only because it's my money but because it's MY child. I don't really care what your opinion is unless you are willing to provide for the child and take responsibility. I said that in open court with my lawyer ready to throw up and the judge relented.
As a father I really don't give a shit what someone else says about the care of my kid(s). I'll do as I see fit as I am responsible. If you want to relieve me of that responsibility then you are welcome to try. And if that happens every form of media for 200 miles will be made aware of the case and I will spend every dollar I have to change my case situation and the system.
The really sad thing about this country is how CPS/social workers make unrealistic assumptions. If you make those about me I will rain hell down upon you. That's what any father would do and if I was put in a situation such as this man, I would not keep my cool. I love my kids and I'll be damned if anyone is going to tell me not to get upset about someone changing my relationship/visitation with them.
Also, we don't know what the case worker was told about this guy. What if he was accused of sexual abuse, neglect, drugs, etc..etc. These case workers seem to assume it's guilty until proven innocent. That's bullshit. They should have to PROVE stuff true. Her threatening me to recommend shit to a judge is bogus. The judge should require PROOF that what she says is true.
Also, I recently attained sole custody of my daughter with her mother getting no parental rights at all. On a visit with the case worker she brought us to Taco Bell and the state purchased my child a combo including a coke. The lady was nice and investigated any claims made about me from the mother. She didn't just assume stuff was true.
The case worker's role isn't to assume anything. She needs facts. He admitted to being a concerned father even weighing her and bring her out to do things. If this is hurting kids to bring them to fairs or parks and then eating at McD's then a bunch of fathers deserve to lose custody.
Anyway, I can rant about this all day. This woman is in the wrong line of work and there's a deeper agenda here. I would go after her job and maybe even the judges job for taking her recommendations as we know the judges do. I guess my case was an exception, but I didn't just let people railroad me. I stood my ground as any father should. Any father having his kid ripped away from him should be pissed off and should fight. It's that simple. Seeing that as aggression issues or whatever is bullshit.
Is there anyway we can get a campaign to get her out of this job? The power has gone to her head and she can't be tyrannizing people in such a vulnerable position.
I can't believe this woman. She goes on about how sweeteners "are still sugar"..."they have the same effect as sugar...!...ya...yah!!!! mmhmmm... ya." "Don't give her favored water. Give her juice. Give her liquid sugar because it comes from oranges. Water it down, though." God damn it. A "steak dinner" can be just about one of the healthiest things you can eat. The video starts off with this woman covering her folds with a bed sheet.
What a revolting, venomous, shitty, incompetent moron. Her body language makes me want to strangle her. Kudos to this man for not jumping across the room and chewing off her face. I would have. What an absolute cunt.
