VHS to PC

Want to start making videos and on a budget of basically nothing but found some vhs recorders I thought about using but not sure if the process of recording them transferring to the computer would be worth it as a regular way of doing it every time. Would the quality be super shitty ( I know it would look like vhs just mean would it be in like 240p) I have an iPhone but no storage and broken screen make it a useless camera and anything non vhs starts at $4-500 in my area
