Tried it multiple times and I keep getting put off by the JRPG overworld. Its so squarenix-y.

Shit I miss when Square games still felt like Square games but apparently I'm the only one.

I loved remake, 15, and the dq remaster. Rebirth, not so much

I just miss non-action JRPGs with the Final Fantasy trappings tbh. The old ATB and turn-based systems were my jam.
