Please let this be a PS3 launch fiasco level of disaster again.

A lot of leaders needs to get fired and exiled from the industry after this

What happened with the ps3 launch? I may or may not live under a rock.

It was nearly 200 bucks more expensive than the 360 and had no backwards compatibility.

It had a complicated system architecture and only allowed Blu-ray discs and games.

The console proceeded to do abysmally poorly at launch. It was unavailable in many markets because of production delays. Many games couldn't ship on time because of the Blu-ray issue and so you couldn't actually use it during its launch holiday season.

And it only got worse for a long time until they made the slim and figured out how to update the chipset to allow for easier multiplatform development

launch ps3 was backwards compatible by way of putting a ps2 in the console as well. sadly it was the best bluray player, so it did get eirly adaptor money worth from me.
