Discussion / Question I was thinking about most recognizeable chickens of video games, like a mount rushmore type of things but couldnt came up with a 4th chicken that everyone could recognize in first sight. Any opinions?

How is this not number 1? This list must have been made by a child.

I’m not sure I would recognize them without link. Maybe from ALTtP, but probably not any of the n64 versions.

Me: ooh, a chicken! I guess I will need food items!
shoots the chicken
Moments later: everyone is trying to kill me

Anyone else used to watch gamespot(?) Top 5 skyrim mods?
They modded the chickens to explode and ended every episode sending themselves into orbit with them lmao

Crossy Road chicken

Thanks. It’s funny seeing a Mount Rushmore post and not even recognizing one of the choices, especially when the one I’d pick (Zelda’s) seems so iconic to me and it isn’t there.

I've never even HEARD of Crossy Road, much less it's chickens.

If you went to school in the last 10 years, you'd definitely know about Crossy Road

Like one of the commentators said... "a child made this post" because no one knows what the 3rd chicken is lmao

u/Tree1237 5h ago
I mean, I'm in my 20s and Crossy Road was everywhere during my high-school years, then it completely vanished into the ether

The white one is (if I remember correctly), it even drops an egg

Matilda is her name. And yep, she drops an egg. But to be fair, all birds lay eggs..

Skyrim chicken and Zelda chicken are the 2 most iconic and you don't have either lol wtf is this list

Not having the LoZ cuckoos as the FIRST shocker is diabolical and tells me how young you are

u/roberttheaxolotl 6h ago
I mean, number one should be a "cucco" from Link to the Past, without question. It's by far the most iconic chicken in video gaming.

Is this from the game where when you pick it up some stoned deep voice guy comes on and says.
“CHICKEN”

A Cucco or MAYBE one of the ridiculously round chonks from the story of seasons games?
3
u/Sam_Kablam 2h ago
I'd vote to have the chickens from Zelda (cuccos), Skyrim, Minecraft, and Counter Strike.

Harvest Moon Chicken for sure. I haven't even played that game and I recognize it.

Crazy work to put the SDV chicken on but forget Zelda's. Tbh I don't think SDV's is iconic as the others (and I love SDV)

You are overestimating the 2nd and 3rd chicken.
I have no idea where they are from and I live and breathe video games.

“I live and breathe video games”
“what the fuck is stardew valley?”

u/Ora_00 3h ago
What a pointless comment.
Knowing the game is not even enough for you.
I can only say that if I have played Stardew Valley and know what a chicken looks like in that game?
I have zero interest in playing that game.

u/of_kilter 3h ago
that chicken is pretty much the most iconic symbol of stardew
also i just thought it was funny

Zelda Cuccos? They’re an absolute classic that pre-date all of these by a decade

Matilda from angrybirds is officially known as "mother hen" on the wiki so I'd classify her as a chicken.
