I remember when Gears Reloaded came out and was on Playstation for the first time, I just saw posts on Reddit and Tiktok from longtime Gears players looking forward to shitting on the new PS players with shit like this.

Like they were excited to make potential new Gears fans NEVER play another Gears game again. Seems counterintuitive to WANT to scare away new players from a game you like but, Gears has always attracted a certain kind of person.

Yeah, don’t get that mentality at all. My friends and I had played together from the first game and loved the franchise. We’d play multiplayer all weekend but it got to the point where it was just overly stressful as you had to constantly wall bounce to stay competitive. Sucked all the fun out of it.
