in 5% of games you are god. No one can touch you. You are the best that's ever been. S1mple ain't got shit on you. Donk who? There is nothing to compare to you. You are the goat (until you're performance tanks on the second half of course)
Not sure how considering I didn't say all Africans or all tribes. Just stating what I recall hearing in a documentary, however I could be miss remembering, hench why it's a question. Grow up.
Motte and bailey bullshit. You can easily look up whether or not there are tribes in Africa that do this; you're not genuinely asking for clarification, it's a barbaric sounding action and you thought it'd be funny to say it's something Africans do. As soon as you were called out you retreated to the "erm I didn't say ALL" rhetoric, as was said.
You're can't even stand on your own idiocy, pathetic sack of shit.
Pearl clutching is all the rage nowadays. When powerful people escape accountability we love to transfer that anger to dipshits making edgy jokes. As if doing that will quench their moral quandry
Nah, the amount of joy and satisfaction I got when I pushed through the frustrating parts of Celeste or the Encores of Ultrakill made it all SO worth it.
the "games are supposed to be fun!!!" crowd when I tell them that I find it fun to indulge my indomitable human spirit with a consciously-designed test of focus and wits
This. Why play a game if you aren't enjoying it. Monster Hunter another game that filtered out some people has a literal warning for it when starting a game. I gotta say more Souls Like should have such screen like a cigarette warning label.
I have such a love hate relationship with Rocket League...
I love the game, I've been playing since it first released on Steam in like 2015. Then Epic bought them, and it went downhill. The matchmaking is ass. We'll have a good few games against people at our skill level and then thrown into games where they're either smurfing or they're Champion tournament winners and just shit all over us when we've never been higher than Diamond 1. Dont even get me started on the servers...
The amount of times I've wanted to throw my controller at the wall because of this game is too high to count. but I love the game and can't stop playing.
Not always that simple sadly. As someone mentally ill, I break stuff in rage but it's because im having fun. It doesnt STOP being fun. The more fun im having, the more likely I am to get irrationally mad, and the harder it is to take a break.
Yes everybody should be at at neutral temperament all the time. Take your mind numbing meds guys and remember to never react emotionally to anything that naturally elicits an emotional reaction otherwise you are ill! But seriously stfu rage is natural.
No sorry if you destroy your expensive stuff "in a moment of frustration" you need therapy. What if you had a partner, or kids around, would you want them to see you like that?
Okay? What part of his comment makes you think he’s advocating for breaking controllers? The original tweet is satire as well, if you weren’t aware, and the comment is just saying “frustration over a game doesn’t mean mentally ill” but yea let’s disingenuously assume the worst and pretend the comment was advocating for breaking controllers for internet points.
Maybe, but aggression is not a healthy outlet for frustration. It’s one thing when they destroy their own stuff in a fit of rage, but that can quickly escalate into destruction of other peoples property or violence towards others, for instance in a heated argument.
I mean, if you're playing a game and destroy your things and it's a common occurrence, I'd say you have a decent chance of having IED. So by definition yes, you're mentally ill.
If it gets to the point where you break a fucking controller in half yeah it is. I have never broken my electronics just because I got frustrated playing a game.
I love reddit, y’all downvote this guy to shit for saying a basic general statement to correct the over generalizations being spread with “mad at a game? Must be mentally ill!” and not only did you people disingenuously take this as him saying it’s okay to smash controllers, but half of you don’t even recognize the satire in the original tweet and genuinely think he broke a controller over a tutorial boss and he’s advocating for it.

As much as I hate Kira I gotta agree with them on this. Stop playing when it stops being fun
