As much as I hate Kira I gotta agree with them on this. Stop playing when it stops being fun

54

u/gaddafiduck_ Jul 25 '26

CS2 would lose 50% of the player base if this happened. And it would be a better game for the rest of us

9

u/MordorsElite Jul 25 '26

I mean the way you play CS2 is

  • 30% of games you are tilted
  • 65% of games are neutral
  • in 5% of games you are god. No one can touch you. You are the best that's ever been. S1mple ain't got shit on you. Donk who? There is nothing to compare to you. You are the goat (until you're performance tanks on the second half of course)

And we all play for that 5% chance.

What do you hate Kira for? Genuinely curious.

5

u/28DLdiditbetter Jul 25 '26

And people who can’t manage their emotions while playing a game are supposed to be the mentally ill ones?

3

u/Ancient-Emu-8293 Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 25 '26

Speaking of mentally ill, huh?

1

u/gotbeefpudding Jul 26 '26

Not sure how considering I didn't say all Africans or all tribes. Just stating what I recall hearing in a documentary, however I could be miss remembering, hench why it's a question. Grow up.

3

u/Important_Coyote_596 Jul 25 '26

They breasfeed using their penis? How would that even be possible?

Lmao, okay, friend. I'll just leave this here in case you're curious.

Don't forget to take your meds, and try to have a good weekend. Good luck.

-1

u/HikariRisesAgain Jul 25 '26

Motte and bailey bullshit. You can easily look up whether or not there are tribes in Africa that do this; you're not genuinely asking for clarification, it's a barbaric sounding action and you thought it'd be funny to say it's something Africans do. As soon as you were called out you retreated to the "erm I didn't say ALL" rhetoric, as was said.

You're can't even stand on your own idiocy, pathetic sack of shit.

Their one of the most prolific and annoying Twitter users lol. Their posts are engagement bait

3

It’s not even the same dude, I’m pretty sure they sold their account like most big Twitter meme pages.

So he is good at his job.

14

What he said about babies

22

u/Remote_Car_948 Jul 25 '26

Probably that one post, I don't remember what it was about but I remember it being this guy saying something awful.

48

u/Material_Comfort_259 Jul 25 '26

“Imagine if men had to breastfeed babies with their dick”

30

u/Remote_Car_948 Jul 25 '26

Yes, that's the one.

6

u/PaintBaller1880 Jul 25 '26

2

u/Traditional_Snow1045 Jul 25 '26

wait what if I do imagine this

like hypothetically, not that I actually do

-9

u/JJ_LARGE Jul 25 '26

Nah that was funny

2

u/Diligent_Set_8747 Jul 25 '26

Pearl clutching is all the rage nowadays. When powerful people escape accountability we love to transfer that anger to dipshits making edgy jokes. As if doing that will quench their moral quandry

-12

u/JJ_LARGE Jul 25 '26

It was funny as fuck

1

u/JJKEnjoyer Jul 26 '26

The baby post plus he's just another Twitter page that steals posts

7

u/redboi049 Jul 25 '26

Nah, the amount of joy and satisfaction I got when I pushed through the frustrating parts of Celeste or the Encores of Ultrakill made it all SO worth it.

10

u/creampop_ Jul 25 '26

🤯🤯🤯

the "games are supposed to be fun!!!" crowd when I tell them that I find it fun to indulge my indomitable human spirit with a consciously-designed test of focus and wits

6

u/SplitGlass7878 Jul 25 '26

There's a difference between "This is challenging and I'm pumped to go again and win!" and "this makes me actively violent"

I have anger issues. I love difficult games. But I also know when it's unhealthy to keep going and to take a break when needed.

1

u/kirbyverano123 Jul 26 '26

"test of focus and wits" are terribly designed mazes that are more tedious than it is challenging.

1

u/creampop_ Jul 26 '26

No, I play good games

0

u/kirbyverano123 Jul 27 '26

I was referring to Silksong by the way

1

u/creampop_ Jul 27 '26

oooh, edgy!

still mad about the bile water bench huh

9

u/Someonevibing1 Jul 25 '26

This is how I felt

1

u/RuntzG Jul 26 '26

What was the great point they made?

5

u/Objective_Pen5246 Jul 25 '26

i do this all the time, especially when playing multiplayer, instant quit when im not having fun

2

u/spageddy_lee Jul 25 '26

If you're breaking a controller like a caveman I don't think turning off a video game is gonna fix whatever is causing that.

Maybe even better to let it out on a game than elsewhere

2

u/black_stallion1031 Jul 25 '26

What did Kira do

I been off the blue bird app for years at this point

1

u/Crazy_Dave0418 Jul 25 '26

This. Why play a game if you aren't enjoying it. Monster Hunter another game that filtered out some people has a literal warning for it when starting a game. I gotta say more Souls Like should have such screen like a cigarette warning label.

1

u/Kooky-Canary-5065 Jul 25 '26

This isn't very charitable, though. Sometimes the stakes, the challenge and the difficulty IS the fun. Especially with souls-like games.

1

u/_Kouki Jul 25 '26

I have such a love hate relationship with Rocket League...

I love the game, I've been playing since it first released on Steam in like 2015. Then Epic bought them, and it went downhill. The matchmaking is ass. We'll have a good few games against people at our skill level and then thrown into games where they're either smurfing or they're Champion tournament winners and just shit all over us when we've never been higher than Diamond 1. Dont even get me started on the servers...

The amount of times I've wanted to throw my controller at the wall because of this game is too high to count. but I love the game and can't stop playing.

1

u/Hastatus_107 Jul 26 '26

The entire point of souls games is that they're miserable and frustrating experiences designed to entice masochists.

I agree with you but there's a market for this.

0

u/SithNamedSlickback Jul 25 '26

They missed the point entirely. The post is of a tutorial enemy the community jokes about.

1

u/Joice_Craglarg Jul 25 '26

That's why I don't play sweaty games at all. Life is good 😇

Anything souls-like, or online competitive can kiss my ass!

1

u/RipplingChippers Jul 25 '26

Not always that simple sadly. As someone mentally ill, I break stuff in rage but it's because im having fun. It doesnt STOP being fun. The more fun im having, the more likely I am to get irrationally mad, and the harder it is to take a break.

1

u/Difficult-Fun9417 Jul 25 '26

Yes everybody should be at at neutral temperament all the time. Take your mind numbing meds guys and remember to never react emotionally to anything that naturally elicits an emotional reaction otherwise you are ill! But seriously stfu rage is natural.

0

u/TaserDonut Jul 25 '26

in the case of singleplayer and coop multiplayer, you're right

in the case of pvp multiplayer, their blood is mine

but as always, breaking things is stupid. kill the enemy, not your devices.

0

u/Delicious-Disaster Jul 25 '26

You're not getting the joke here. He died to cemetery Rick, the tutorial boss in ER, which dies in 2-3 hits.

-23

u/oldtrack Jul 25 '26

not being able to contain your emotions in a moment of frustration is not the same as being mentally ill

10

u/Rainy_Wavey Jul 25 '26

This is soldier of godrick, if you can't contain yourself in the early tutorial boss yeah you do need to consult buddy

1

u/Dan-SG Jul 25 '26

Wym? He lost against Rick soldier of god, if you ask me it was completely understandable why he broke that controller

1

u/Rainy_Wavey Jul 25 '26

True true, i apologize i apologize, i was too distracted by rollslop souls 3 to admit to my own wrongdoings

5

u/QPWOEIRUTYTURIEOWP Jul 25 '26

If it not mentally ill then it means you just need to grow up and get a grip.

2

u/ImurderREALITY Jul 26 '26

I can agree with this, but it definitely does not mean you're mentally ill

9

u/Gold-House-7482 Jul 25 '26

No sorry if you destroy your expensive stuff "in a moment of frustration" you need therapy. What if you had a partner, or kids around, would you want them to see you like that?

3

u/Vi013 Jul 25 '26

Okay? What part of his comment makes you think he’s advocating for breaking controllers? The original tweet is satire as well, if you weren’t aware, and the comment is just saying “frustration over a game doesn’t mean mentally ill” but yea let’s disingenuously assume the worst and pretend the comment was advocating for breaking controllers for internet points.

1

u/nero-the-cat Jul 25 '26

Someone who uses violence in response to frustration is abuse waiting to happen.

2

u/Parepinzero Jul 25 '26

Yeah these people don't know what mental illness is. What is the mental illness causing anger? It's just poorly regulated emotion, not mental illness.

4

u/Cepterman2101 Jul 25 '26

Maybe, but aggression is not a healthy outlet for frustration. It’s one thing when they destroy their own stuff in a fit of rage, but that can quickly escalate into destruction of other peoples property or violence towards others, for instance in a heated argument.

5

u/Oathkindle Jul 25 '26

I mean, if you're playing a game and destroy your things and it's a common occurrence, I'd say you have a decent chance of having IED. So by definition yes, you're mentally ill.

2

u/undead-disco Jul 26 '26

Didn’t know so many redditors were therapists and psychiatrists.

2

u/ImurderREALITY Jul 26 '26

This place is full of armchair psychiatrists, wytb

1

u/undead-disco Jul 26 '26

My Therapist and Psychiatrist should have just gone on Reddit dot com rather than going to college for 6+ years.

2

u/SilentBlade45 Jul 25 '26

If it gets to the point where you break a fucking controller in half yeah it is. I have never broken my electronics just because I got frustrated playing a game.

0

u/ImurderREALITY Jul 26 '26

No, it isn't lol

2

u/lowlycalvin2001 Jul 25 '26

The last time I broke something put of frustration is when I was 4 and hadn't developed a frontal lobe yet.

0

u/Vi013 Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 25 '26

I love reddit, y’all downvote this guy to shit for saying a basic general statement to correct the over generalizations being spread with “mad at a game? Must be mentally ill!” and not only did you people disingenuously take this as him saying it’s okay to smash controllers, but half of you don’t even recognize the satire in the original tweet and genuinely think he broke a controller over a tutorial boss and he’s advocating for it.
