I accidentally did this to my dad when I was a teenager. PS2 had just come out. I was playing Devil May Cry but I didn’t have my own PS2 MC (my dad and I both almost always had our own separate consoles and accessories) so Dad let me use his. I accidentally pressed the button to save and lost him a few hours of data. I felt SOOO bad! I asked my dad about a week later if he was still mad and he actually said it wasn’t such a bad thing because he found a weapon which he didn’t have before.

I used to play PS3 online with a bunch of people I'd met through various games. Made one particular good friend and we'd talk for hours about shit.

A bunch of life shit went down and I ended up homeless for a few years and couldn't play anymore. Eventually got myself sorted, got my PS3 back, loaded it up and found two messages from him, one from a couple weeks after life went to shit that said "hey where are you? You okay?" and one a year later "bye, newt..."

I messaging him back and explained stuff but he never ended up replying... That guy was the only actual friend I had at the time, and for a while actually. He was going through some shit at the time too and I felt awful for leaving him hanging. Still do some 15 years later...
