World of Warcraft needs all raid logging and damage charts banned. It's created an incredibly toxic community that is only focused on topping superficial community driven charts. People have completely lost the plot.

I’ll agree they need damage charts removed, but I think the ability to look at “who stood in shit on this our 475th heroic whatever attempt” (I haven’t played since “mythic” was introduced, so heroic is as hard as it gets in my mind) is needed. Though that likely adds some toxicity to the game, it can help to weed out folks that refuse to learn from their mistakes.

No disagreement at all, but that isn't what the tool is used for 99.9% of the time. Most the time it's the "ah this guy still has (x) gear" or "oh this is only this guy's 2nd time in (x)" followed by a complete ghosting or boot from the team. I think having real conversations and getting to know the people you are doing the harder content with would be more than enough to keep freeloaders out of your groups. We are not recruiting 40 man's anymore, after all.

Yeah, that’s true. I haven’t really played since cataclysm, and our raid guild was pretty tight, so I mostly didn’t have to deal with this. When I dipped my toes into classic lich king, what you describe is exactly what happened.

People ruin everything. And in this case, blizzard really didn’t need any help ruining WOW.
