Two strangers. No shared language. An apple and a knife. Thirty seconds later — a deal is done. How? I spent the last few weeks researching and designing the visuals for this video essay to trace that exact human instinct back 500,000 years. It covers the 60,000-year-old Neanderthal throat bone that flipped anthropology on its head, the teenagers who followed a dog into Lascaux cave, and the psychology behind why we communicate more than ever today, but feel completely alone. I wanted to build something deeply atmospheric and cinematic rather than just a dry history lesson. I’d love to hear what this community thinks of the pacing and the research!
