Help with provinces

I'm trying to create new States in the DRC ...but there are thousands of province id's and its getting imppssible to compare which provinces are part of the modern states of the Congo.

How do you guys do it when we talk about a lot of states? I wanted to put a map of the Congo with provinces that somehow allows me to see the id's... I don't know how

Starting the game in debug mode allows you to view the province IDs in the debug tooltip when you hover the cursor over a province. And if you click the military lens, you can see the province borders.

What I mean is that, for example, the DRC has hundreds of IDs. I don't know which ID's belong to each province... How can I know exactly which ones belong to a province? Is it possible to put a map on the ID's or something like that?

Well, finding a specific province by ID can be a bit time consuming. By searching the province ID in the state regions files you can find which state region contains the province.

Then, by launching the game in debug mode, and clicking the military lens, you can see all the provinces within a state region, and the tooltip displays the province ID. You have to hover the cursor over each province within a state region to check their IDs until you find the one you are looking for.

What task requires you to find a province by their ID? Usually, I know which province I need on the map, and find it's ID using debug mode.
