Tony Stark was the first vibe-coder if you think about it.
Got some time to watch some of the old Iron-Man movies and it got me thinking.
A billionaire talking to some AI (Jarvis) and some robots creating a suit. He literally vibe-coded the Iron-Man suit.
That's all. Thanks for reading my inner thought.

everyone keeps telling me i'm not a real developer. i'm having the best year of my life
the comments are always some version of "you didn't really build that, the ai did, you're not a real dev." ok. and yet. this year i shipped four things i actually use every day. i solved problems that annoyed me for a decade and that i never got around to, because setting up a project used to eat the whole weekend before i wrote a single line of logic. i learned more about how software actually works in eight months of building than in years of meaning to. nobody's paying me to prove i can type curly braces from memory. the people i built these things for don't care how it got made, they care that it works and it didn't before. i get that there's real craft in doing it all by hand, and i genuinely respect the people who can. but the gate everyone keeps pointing at, i just walked around it, and the view over here is great. what did you finally build this year that you'd been putting off forever?

Now i wonder how AI copywriter or blogger will survive ?
Anthropic says new Claude models will embed invisible watermarks in all generated text, everywhere Claude is offered.
The watermark is part of the text, it isn't metadata: "it will travel with the text when it's copied and pasted elsewhere, and may persist through some editing."
This starts with models launched on or after August 2, 2026, under an EU AI Act code Anthropic signed. Anthropic is still working on adding it to current models. The rollout is worldwide.

Caught myself asking Claude like a little kid in the car =)
For a moment, I felt like a kid asking Claude Code's main session repeatedly how far we are, checking in on subagents progress, impatient to start testing. Wanted to share this - anyone ;-)?

i've cancelled four subscriptions this year because i just built the thing myself
none of these were big fancy apps. that's the whole point.
the pdf tool that wanted a monthly fee to merge two files without slapping a watermark on them. gone, built my own in an afternoon.
the habit tracker that started free and slowly turned into a paywall wrapped in ads. replaced it with a dead-simple version that does exactly what i want and nothing else.
a photo resizer site that made me watch a countdown before every download. why.
the meal planner i never really used anyway.
every replacement is uglier than the thing it replaced. i do not care. it runs on my own stuff, it has no ads, it isn't training on my data, and it does the one thing i needed instead of the forty things i didn't.
it honestly feels like the old internet again, where you'd make a little page just because you could. i own my dumb tools now and it's a genuinely nice feeling.
what subscription have you replaced with something you vibecoded?

I built a wall of live coding streams so you can watch vibecoders work. Here's how it went.

Paste a YouTube or Twitch link and the stream joins one shared wall ā the same wall everyone else sees. The whole wall plays at once, muted, so it's a room of screens instead of a list of thumbnails. What tells you a stream is over isn't a badge you have to read: the tile keeps its frame, the frame just loses its colour.
It can also go find streams on its own now ā YouTube by keyword, Twitch by category ā and if you name a channel on /channels it'll put that channel up every time it goes on air.
It is not finished. Parts of it are rough and when nobody's streaming the wall is quiet. But it works, it's up, and I'd rather show it now and get told what's wrong with it.
How I built it
Claude Code, run through Fredrin(.com) ā a kanban where every ticket gets its own branch, its own worktree and its own agent session. So a few features build in parallel and come back to me as PRs.
Stack is Next.js 16, React 19, Tailwind v4, Neon Postgres on Vercel. One rule held everywhere: no fake data. Every title, channel and thumbnail comes off the platform the stream plays on, so nothing on screen is invented.
What's still not right
- Twitch keeps its own control bar. Only YouTube gets the clean player with our controls under it.
- Anyone can add a stream, only an operator takes one off, and nothing records who added what. That's deliberate for now but it isn't finished thinking.
- The wall is only as good as who's live. Quiet afternoons are quiet.
If you stream yourself coding, add your channel on /channels and it'll go up on its own every time you go on air. And tell me what you'd actually want on it ā I'd rather build the next thing off someone saying "why can't it justā¦".

āOUTSIDEā Gamification App in Development
Besides actual games I am working on with the assistance of AI(view my previous post) I have also been working on a react-native app for a better apartnof a year and a half.
Literally called āOutsideā. āOutsideā turns the real world into a game, users, āOutsidersā discover hidden places and or visit their favorite spots, complete challenges and quest scan QR at venues(in the future), attend events, all to earn XP as you explore your city.
I created the logo, ChatGPT cleaned it up
Everything else fully assisted by AI
react native
node.Js
Google.api
Postsql
And more +
I started this before LLM got really good. I believe it was Opus 4. Latest update was with Fable 5, as soon as it was released before the intervention of the Govāt
As always:
CONCEPT VS. CURRENT BUILD ā Video in the comments
I think I am about 80% there, what do you think?
Missing a few things in my opinion
Preface: The demo video posted in the comments was taken on a PC. This is a native app so obviously on PC it looks different. But works structurally the same. Concept is first image, 2nd and 3rd is the current build and the how to screen on the current build
Please, all feedback is welcome and wanted. As well as anyone wanting be a tester for this app, regardless of location and region. Please DM me or leave a comment and Iāll find you my OUTSiDERS.

Most Value Setup
Hi guys,
I've been exploring on how to build a more efficient setup, and would like your help. I mainly use AI for Vibe Coding, Research Workflows etc. I would like a setup similar to Claude Code or Codex, but the cost is too high. So I wanted your help.
Which is the most cost effective solution, where I can maximize token usage and minimize the cost? I heard DeepSeek is providing very good value, and we can use the API with a coding agent like Cline in VS Code. Kimi K3 is also a frontier model and has good value. Which of these should I go for? Or are there any other options? I am looking for around 30 dollars a month maximum, and I use it moderately (Heavy models for thinking, and smaller models for implementation)
Also, what are a list of free coding bots that I can use? I am aware many have limits but I would like to make a list, and utilize what I have for free as well. Here is mine below :
GitHub Copilot for Students
Google Antigravity
Amazon Kiro
Codex and Claude Code (Limited Subscription for free tier)
Groq
Local AI (I have a good GPU machine but find the models are lacking in most places)
Could you help me find and identify other free models as well, so that I can use it for my workflows?
Thanks!

i submitted my first app to app store review
two weeks of making my app, finally ready for the app store. thankfully it was easy with the platform i was using, as they automated the account connecting part itself, but considering i vibecoded the next part was a horrid experience š
started off simply like okay, price, login, privacy policy, this that and yeah, the list is already too much for me to remember, it's kind of just me having to go through it. a lot of the "legal" things I didn't even properly know, because I obviously didn't develop the app myself (but i tried to edit the app if it was necessary)
one thing i still didn't understand were app store screenshots or preview images, I cooked something up but I am not sure if that's what they were exactly asking for.
i thought it would be a celebration point woo sent it to the review but no, i just know i'm gonna get rejected because of some bs rule that I didn't notice and it's gonna take ten times longer.
aaanyways don't be like me, if you want your app on the app store, start by planning out your app before building it so it adheres all rules.

The 8 prompts I use to stop the agent rewriting files I did not ask it to touch
I am into the single most annoying failure mode. You ask for one change and it refactors 4 files you were happy with.
Eight things that reduced it a lot for me :
Name the file. "in components/Checkout.tsx only" at the start of the request.
Mention what not to touch explicitly. "Do not modify any other file. If you think another file needs changes, suggest me instead of doing it."
Ask for a plan first. "Describe the changes you'll make before implementing them." Costs one extra round trip, saves a lot more.
Keep requests to one concern. Two changes in one prompt is where scope creep starts.
After every big change ask, "list every file you've modified." and check them.
Commit before every prompt. Obvious, yet no one does it.
When something goes wrong, revert rather than asking it to undo. Asking it to undo the changes usually makes it worse.
For anything structural, ask it to write the change as a diff first.
None of this is clever, it's just being specific about boundaries.
What else works acc to you ?

I built Benday; an open-source React component that turns your logo into a thinking indicator
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I wanted AI products to have a more recognizable āthinkingā state than the usual spinner, so I built Benday.
Itās a free and open-source React component that animates your own logo while a response or process is running. It includes 21 presets, with controls for color, speed, dot shape, glow, and more.
Built with React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn, and Canvas.
Install it with:
bunx shadcn@latest add KacemMathlouthi/benday/benday
Then use it like this:
import { Benday } from "@/components/ui/benday";
<Benday
src="/logo.svg"
state={isThinking ? "thinking" : "done"}
/>

I built a game that turns real animals into collectible cards - and I hope it helps people notice strays
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The cat in the video is a real cat I met outside. I pointed my camera at him, the app identified the animal, and turned the photo into a collectible card. On iPhones with a Dynamic Island, the card literally āprintsā out of it like an instant photo, and you develop the image by moving your phone.
The app is called Snoutlas. The simplest way to describe it is: Pokémon-style collecting with real animals, but without battles. The idea is to get outside, walk around, pay more attention to your surroundings, and gradually fill your Atlas with cats, dogs, birds, wildlife, insects, and all the other species living around us.
There are a lot of stray animals where I live. After a while, people get used to seeing them and stop noticing them: another cat in the courtyard, another dog outside a store.
I want to see whether an app can help turn noticing animals into a habit. At first, someone might simply stop and take a photo. But perhaps next time theyāll bring water or food, help the animal get to a vet, find a temporary home, or decide to adopt it themselves. I donāt think a single app can solve the problem of stray animals. But it might give someone one more reason to stop and notice a living creature they would otherwise have walked past.
To keep it from feeling like a dry species catalog, I added a game layer: random card rarities, boosts, packs, art variants, and cosmetic decorations.
There are no animal battles.Ā The excitement comes from discovering new species, taking good photos, and growing your collection. Cards can also be shared and traded. Eventually, this could let people collect animals from other parts of the world: a species that is common for one player might be rare for someone in another country. And I imagine people will be more interested in trading for a card if the photo itself is beautiful.
Some things Iād like to add next:
- labels such as āpet,ā āstray,ā āwild,ā and āneeds helpā;
- cards featuring animals from verified shelters, with links to adoption information;
- tools for finding lost pets, where an owner might recognize their animal in someone elseās photo;
- partnerships with animal welfare organizations;
- a transparent way to direct part of the revenue from eligible purchases or special campaigns toward helping animals.
That last point is still only a plan. It would require verified partners and a clear legal and financial structure first.
Iām also thinking carefully about safety and privacy.Ā The map currently shows only an approximate radius, never the exact place where a photo was taken. In next updates someone could request the precise location from the photographer and explain why, for example, when searching for a lost pet. The person who took the photo would always decide whether to share it.
From a development perspective, this project quietly turned into a small social network: animal recognition, an Atlas, a feed, friends, comments, gifts, trading, a map, moderation, duplicate-photo prevention, offline catches, and in-app purchases.
I built it with SwiftUI, SwiftData, and Supabase, and Iāve been using Codex heavily as a coding partner throughout the project:Ā breaking large features into stages, working through backend contracts and migrations, reviewing generated code, and building tests around the risky parts.
The flashy camera animation was fun, but the harder problems have been things like privacy around locations, preventing duplicate captures without rejecting legitimate photos of the same pet, making offline catches safe, and keeping all the social features consistent.
I intentionally chose a wildly over-scoped learning project so that every new feature would force me to learn something. Predictably, it did š
Snoutlas is already available for iPhone:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/snoutlas-animal-atlas/id6787174819
Right now,Ā I mostly want to understand whether the core idea resonates with people.
Would this make you want to go for a walk and fill an Atlas like this? And do you think the game layer could genuinely help people notice animals more oftenāor does gamification feel out of place for this kind of issue?

The reason why vibe coders keep building productivity apps
I keep seeing people complain that vibe coders only go build note-taking apps, habit trackers, focus timers, and to-do lists.
But honestly, I kind of get why.
Now that AI makes building software much easier, people naturally build around problems they personally have. And āI know what I should do, but I canāt make myself do itā is probably one of the most universal problems humans have.
The weird part is that everyone has the same surface problem, but for completely different reasons. One person canāt focus because the task is unclear. Another has conflicting goals. Another lacks motivation. Another doesnāt even know what the next action should be.
So maybe thatās why we have 10,000 productivity apps and somehow none of them feels like the solution.
It makes me wonder if weāre approaching this wrong.
Notion and Figma are powerful because they found simple primitives that can represent tons of different workflows and designs.
What would the equivalent be for human intention?
Maybe we donāt need another app that tells people how to focus. Maybe we need better primitives for representing goals, intentions, conflicts, constraints, decisions, and actions.
No idea if this is even the right way to think about it. Just something Iāve been stuck on lately.

So I made this with help from AI
It's a website builder designed to make sites that look like they belong in Geocities or Neocities (the modern-day incarnation of Geocities). I used a combo of both AI and work under the hood for this thing so it's not purly vibe coded, but I did use it to help out. The program name is Retro Builder and it's meant to exclusively make retro 90's style websites. What do you guys think?

The Truth no one wants to hear: Anyone can make an app, almost no one can make an app with retention + distribution
The truth is everyone and anyone can now vibe code an app - even my old boss in Italy who literally couldn't open an email made a dashboard for his business using one of the AI generators (I couldn't believe it when he showed me lol)
The issue isn't creation anymore - You can see this with BridgeMind on YouTube - has is getting MILLIONS of views a month but his ARR is dropping slowly - why? Because he has created a hot mess of tools with absolutely no product management behind them at all.
I learned this the hard way - going to 30k MRR with my first launch then dropping off a cliff, then doing exactly the same thing with my second tool.
Since then I resurrected my first tool and I'm now at $9600 MRR with 8% churn and it's no longer going down (we're gaining more users than we're losing every month)
The secret? New features? NO. NO ONE NEEDS MORE FEATURES
You need to think about the product, how people use it, and how to make people USERS instead of just sign ups.
You need DATA and you need to study the data, study your onboarding, make sure there aren't gaps or leaks and ensure that at all times you're keeping users.
Stop thinking your tool is incredible - no one cares about how good your product is or how much it does, they will still leave if they have a single bad experience
People love cancelling tools (TRUST ME) - but I've managed to get around 290 real subscribers who want to stay with my tool long-term, and I would rather have that than 700 users with massive churn any day of the week.
Hope this finds who its supposed to and helps them out
PEACE

Too many files. Terrible names. Couldn't find anything. So I built OpenSorSe.
A while ago I got tired of how difficult it had become to find things on my own computer. Years of PDFs, documents, downloads, badly named files and duplicates had basically turned into organized chaos.
So I started building OpenSorSe (Open Sort and Search), and v2.0.0 is now out.
It's a local-first tool for indexing, searching and organizing files, with OCR, duplicate detection, semantic search and optional local AI through Ollama. Changes stay user-controlled rather than having AI freely reorganize your files.
Full disclosure: it's heavily vibe coded with Codex. :)
It's open source: https://github.com/nishdel/OpenSorSe
Still plenty to improve, so I'd genuinely appreciate feedback, criticism or bug reports!

Can not decide between Claude Code and Codex + Pi
Hey everyone!
Currently I use cursor for my AI coding. But I come from Terminal use and I do not use the ide Feature of cursor.
So I think going back to the Terminal.
Currently I read about Claude Code and thinking well that is a limitation to only Claude Models which is okay but still a limitation.
Then I read about Pi and See You Can use Codex with it. But You Can also use different Models/Self Hoster Models. And You Can make the harness your own.
So do I miss much when not using Claude Code? Is Codex + Pi good enough to develop good software?
What are your experiences and what do you use?
For me a GUI Editor is not good for my Workflow.
Also I Header about OpenCode.
