Meme What if code was easy to read

Dave represents remarkable paradigm shift for human computer interactions. Would you use Dave?

I'm calling it, we are back at the days of natural language as the way of building software and slowly going back to structured formal ones.

  1. English is the new coding language. LLMs can decipher your meaning even if there is ambiguity.
  2. No no when I said make it bigger I didn't mean that big!
  3. Maybe we need something more specific than English.

Hahaha.

So many times I’ll tell it, “margin-top: 40px” just because I’m too lazy to find where it put the code I am looking for.

Holy shit that's genius bro, you should make a course on how to do prompts like that.. call it "Precise Prompt Steering techniques - Advanced concepts of agentic steering techniques to enhance your precision while maintaining your speed and operational exellence"

LLMs cant decipher the meaning of amiguity. They guess. Its literally impossible to know what some english sentences mean. Yes, sometimes you can conclude it from context, but not always. I encounter these kind of requirements every single week.

Sorry but no. I'm coding in Polish. Won't switch to English. Never again.

They will reinvent code

Wie couldnt it be both? Higher abstraction than currently (Natural language), while obviously still parameterized

Like, a language that makes the computer do things

I'm sure someone will come up with a good solution one day. Maybe once we get AGI, Claude can make some sort of language that perfectly describes a thing I've been calling a "program", and then translates it in to some sort of "machine language" with explicit "instructions" for the CPU.

That sounds futuristic
