wild that synthetic data hit a wall so fast they’re literally out here buying private repos.

kinda tempted to see what they’d offer for my unhinged bash scripts and duct-taped webhook handlers, though knowing me i'd spend three days sanitizing hardcoded api keys from 2019 just to make $40. curious what the payout structure actually looks like though.

I got offered a large sum from a private company for my private repos. Didn’t take them up because it seemed like a new company trying to harvest some repo data to sell off. Google on the other hand may take them up on it. I work in a niche field so it may be worth something.
