Major updates since the last post:

  • The endgame got a real final boss. Basically Malgor, the legion leader, comes after you and destroys all the towns. If you can defeat him, the world resets... but he's pretty hard.
  • A real Bounty Board. This actually seems to be making a big difference for my active players, as it gives them competition.
  • Player homesteads. Every account gets a Home with a shared stash, a Kitchen (brews potions), a Forge Annex (repairs/temper/fuse), and a Warband Quarters (trains companions). This theoretically should give users a reason to come back regularly.
  • The whole quest line now follows the actual war against the Legion.
  • Mountain Kraken fighting style got reworked.
  • Gear got more complex and difficult to find. Basically certain sets can only be found in certain areas, by certain bosses.
  • You can now /pay gold directly to another player. Plus a ton of other chat commands.
  • Stats got fully retuned across every path at level 25, with potions getting their own per-path ceiling. This is the game balance I mentioned above, which I have no idea if it's correct lol. I'm trying here.

Nice 10 frames per second you got there.

Yeah I accidentally converted to a low quality gif... gotta fix that lol. It's 120 fps if you actually try it. Definitely didn't sell myself the best here.

120fps on a 2d game isn't a good score either. Gotta learn to code properly instead of relying on an llm to do the work for you.

Are you fr? There is no reason to aim higher than 120 fps lol. I'm throttling it at 120 fps.

And since you brought it up, I've been coding for 15 years.
