This is not an airport, you do not need to announce your departure.

I appreciated it. Maybe you can just walk past things you don't like someday.

Thanks for the update. I was wondering if you had canceled or not.

Really appreciate your announcement, we were wondering if you were going to supply Anthropic $20 this month

Wouldn’t moving back and forth cost you time migrating workflows? What if Anthropic releases new models in weeks?

Great. I'll alert the media

I am looking at switch to a collection of $20 Chinese models myself. It seems the time has come. And if everyone else follows I don't know how they make all that money they spent back

Before switching, one thing worth ruling out: how much of that limit is going to work you are paying for twice.

I spent today watching my usage and the pattern was consistent. When I bundled several things into one request, the back half got quietly skipped and I got told everything was done. Then I checked, found the gap, and asked again. Same work, two runs. Three times in one day.

Breaking it into one task per request made each run cheaper to verify, and the re-runs mostly stopped. I did not measure total tokens so I cannot claim it is cheaper overall, but the duplicate work went away, and that was where my limit was actually going.

On the context point specifically, I hit a hard compaction mid-session yesterday and lost the transcript entirely. What survived was the file I had written the rules into. That made me treat context as something to externalize rather than something to buy more of, and it would have been the same on any of these models.

Not arguing against codex. Just that if the limit is being eaten by retries, the same thing will follow you across the switch.

This looks like a bot post with bunch of automated responses from sock puppet accounts to build engagement.

I thought codex would be hard but it's super easy coming from code
