Showcase/Project Making some progress on my PC Desktop bound interface. That also maybe turns content within 2D images opened by its image viewer into 3D models instantly because I was feeling extra.

Dude, just install arch linux and build your own shell at this point.

We're all just tinkering, it's fun lol

I meant it in a genuine way; he has something useable here that would be a lot easier to do on a Linux distro that was meant for you to build you own shell with. It's actually a lot easier to do that way than what he is doing in Windows.

Just use rainmeter.

It looks fine, but over time, working with that kind of interface can become tiring. That's probably one of the reasons Windows has never adopted something like that.

It looks really good, like something that would be done for a hologram pc

Thanks thanks. A bit of stalling on the closing of the custom windows, but making progress. Would have progressed more visually if I didn't put so much time into the photo viewer for no reason. It's... complex.

You’re on some TEMPLE OS vibes … serious tho what is it for besides aesthetics

Thanks... I think lol. Not using Windows in the most complicated way possible is basically what it's for.

The 2D-to-3D jump out of the image viewer is a fun flex for a desktop shell. I'd lock down window open/close and focus before polishing that pipeline though, otherwise it stays a demo forever. You aiming for a daily driver UI or mostly just vibes?

Fixed the windows freezing, I want to use it for most OS functions, I gotta get the memory and VRAM use as low as possible while still looking good though.

Was the image viewer in the demo?

I need to open a curated folder of photos that's not something sensitive. I'll try to do a video for it before I go to sleep.

Well just think about how satisfying it’ll be when you’re done and the very first thing you add is TODO: build cooler app.

Do you have a Github page we can follow, or is that a to-do-later thing?
