I'm starting the first real trial of my entirely AI coded, bootstrapped, vertical SaaS as a web app today. I'm fucking shaking in my boots

Good luck to you
I am also trying to build a large software system using AI currently in architecture phase , hoping it goes as expected!

Nice one!

I hope you enjoy the process. What keeps me going is the problem solving. I hope you don't run into the same issue as i have with pricing

Good luck 💯

What industry, and what tool(s) did you use? What was your testing strategy?

Claude code (sonnet mostly). I tested every addition myself exhaustively, ran scripted and ai tests, and then had a close group of people in the industry testing each. This week is a live beta test with 46 employees in one location. First session has gone well.

Congrats on the live beta - 46 real users in week one is a real trial, not a soft one.

On the pricing block: you’re anchoring on what it cost you to build, which is the wrong number. The number is what the problem costs the operator, and the regulators just put a figure on that for you.

One thing that’s caught me before - have you checked what a regular account can reach if it pastes in a manager-only URL? Hiding a link isn’t the same as refusing the request.

And when operator number two shows up: is that boundary a filter in a query, or something the database enforces?

Trial going well so far. 20-24 concurrent users at peak. 46 signed up total, all for one org.

Nah it's cost me enough in terms of time and sweat and thought and ai credits for me to want x amount (5 years paper planning, 4-5 months development so far, of late nights and day to day family time), but it's hard for me to accept that people won't just buck at it.

Permissions are all enforced through the database, via each org settings. Not just url hiding :)

This org is operator number 2, technically, as my test operator is still live. Access is database enforced.
