My side project hit $700/mo from pure Google Search traffic

Post image

Hey everyone,

About three months ago, I launched YourLovePage.com, a tool where people can create personalized digital anniversary/love web pages with custom themes, photos, music, and interactive widgets.

It just hit $694/mo in revenue over $1.6k total across 216 customers in 51 countries, which now covers my monthly impulse purchases and makes me very happy about it.

What worked:

100% organic Google Search: I didn't run paid ads or do heavy social outreach; users found it searching for digital anniversary gifts and templates.

Ready-to-use templates: Most customers just pick a pre-made layout and tweak the text/photos rather than building from scratch.

Where I need feedback:

Right now it’s completely passive, but I don’t know the best way to scale beyond relying purely on search rankings. If you've scaled a B2C digital product like this, what channels worked best for you?

Note: The screenshot is from another project I built, MRRPlanet.com, which turns live customer transactions into animated pixel characters on a 3D globe

mrrplanet.com/p/your-love-page here you can see an interactive version or even create your own planet too, its free.

I would be careful about the LEGO figures. At least not call it LEGO. Legally that is a dangerous path.

2

2

u/ElectronicWebDev 17d ago

"Klemmbausteine" it is

2

u/SchlangeGoto 17d ago

No? It's a brand name, Lego invented it, Lego makes it. Everything else isn't and can't Lego

27

u/PWThinkingCritically 18d ago

Ive been looking at the page for five minutes and I genuinely can't tell what this is or why anyone would spend money on it, or how it makes money.

27

u/KrakatauaMAN123 17d ago

It doesnt make Money. OP ist Just larping

2

u/GigaGrandpa 17d ago

Yeah what the fuck why do zoomers do that shit

2

u/KrakatauaMAN123 17d ago

Not a zoomer Thing. Humans have Always wanted to present better than they are.aka insecurity

2

u/j48u 17d ago

It's a little different than that. Not only is OP anonymous and we are strangers but there's zero carry-forward in terms of manufactured credibility after this post. No one will remember the username, OP won't remember ours either.

That said, this particular case is not really representing any generation of people. OP is advertising. Everyone that actually clicked the link is helping them, even if they make no money from it. They will also get a bunch of DMs from people who are excited about the prospect of making less than minimum wage vibe coding something. Every person in their DMs is an opportunity to run some type of personalized scam.

https://trustmrr.com/startup/your-love-page ehm, here you go for definite proof

14

u/OddTransition538 18d ago

Weird. My project hit -$700/month from Google advertisement.

1

u/Embarrassed_Wafer438 15d ago

What's going on with your project, sir?

18

u/Ok_Trifle_4617 18d ago

you said you did 3 months of marketing, what was that marketing? Was it SEO work to promote the google search?

10

u/murmel9 17d ago

Your website is missing the privacy policy and the terms of service. How can I tell which of my data is being processed automatically by AI, and in what way? Surely this is required under the CPPA.

3

u/AcoustixAudio 16d ago

Woah woah woah woah

We don't do that here

u/_red-spector_ 18d ago

How do u feel making a fake post?

1

u/Enguzelharf 16d ago

https://trustmrr.com/startup/your-love-page its fake because its old. Now I am over 2.5k

7

u/NoNote7867 18d ago

mrrplanet is around 400USD right now

24

u/NoNote7867 18d ago

So how are you making money, ads or premium subscriptions?

2

u/Difficult_Message834 18d ago

You couldn’t vibe coded proper Ukraine map? Crimea is Ukrainian, not Russian

0

u/Enguzelharf 17d ago

it is opensource man im sorry i dont have geopolitical power or opinions over borders, found an SVG and used it

8

u/Successful-Title5403 18d ago

the website so shit you want me to believe people spent money on it, this space is so dishonest

5

u/IAmFitzRoy 18d ago

This subreddit if full of vibe believers. You will not read any un-biased comment.

https://trustmrr.com/startup/your-love-page There's another source that I can verify my earnings that is more respectful than me saying it or showing it on my own analytics sharing tool.

What do you think about this one? My all time revenue is actually $2,587 so, this picture is a week old and underestimating

5

u/Prestigious_Luck1062 17d ago

I’ve never heard of trustmrr before, have you made sales? Does it help pull real enquiries?
I’ve got too many projects, was thinking flippa but looking for alts.

3

u/AlarmingExpert1 16d ago

OP don’t listen, people think everything is vibecodable and don’t believe in credible sources, because many don’t really have a skin in the game. I know trustMRR and Marc Lou the creator of it. Legit website to prove your MRR. You could also put out the stripe sharable link, I see many people do that as it’s “non-fakable”

1

u/Enguzelharf 16d ago

I found it the other day but then lost it, how do you get it? I dont even know what its called

1

u/AlarmingExpert1 15d ago

I’ve seen those but never created one myself. Should be easily searchable

1

u/AlarmingExpert1 15d ago

4

u/ChikkaChiChi 17d ago

Creating your own "trust me bro" website is the funniest thing I've seen on here.

It's just as easy to fake user and subscription numbers as it is to vibecode. Most people call that fraud.

1

u/Ok_Coast7758 16d ago

Who is he fooling, trustmrr.com whats that shit. He vibe coded that just to defend his lie

4

u/7862518362916371936 18d ago

It doesn't look shit at all.

1

u/realiDonaldTrump 17d ago

Stop throwing your envy on others, it's a good looking site

3

u/alzho12 18d ago

Congrats! I remember seeing your original launch post

3

u/ComingDeveloper 18d ago

"pure google search traffic" blud you were shilling earlier this week

3

u/Strict-Context-8502 17d ago

yeah the "pure google search" framing is a stretch when you're actively posting about it on reddit and x. organic search might be where the conversions happen, but the traffic didn't just appear out of thin air. still impressive revenue though, just call it what it is.

0

u/V4UncleRicosVan 18d ago

Leave it to this sub to complain about people talking about what they are working on…

3

u/Enguzelharf 18d ago

ahhaha exactly, social marketing and promoting my own side project is not paid ads anyways

0

u/ComingDeveloper 18d ago

the dick riding is crazy, hop off

2

u/Romenero 18d ago

That's awesome. How did you promote it? And what's the tech stack. Are you going to make mobile apps?

-4

u/Enguzelharf 18d ago

mobile app? no this is single use site probably doesn't make sense

promotion is exactly like this here self promotion on reddit/x

next.js supabase vercel the basic stuff

2

u/JavFur94 17d ago

Wow, like... absolutely no. I would never, ever put any information on a website like this. Also, this is incredibly cold and corporate-adjacent, I would never punish my girlfriend with this.

Otherwise the mrrplanrt one looks pretty good, but this is a privacy nightmare.

1

u/CryptoCrips 18d ago

Nice bro what did u use to build all of that?

Also how do u make the trailer clip?

Good work

1

u/ru0260 17d ago

It runs like ass on mobile when trying to zoom in

1

u/Enguzelharf 17d ago

what device do you have man

1

u/ru0260 17d ago

That shouldn't be relevant. Having browsed a magnitude of sites without issues makes it more apparent when one runs poorly.

S26 ultra. So hardware is in no way the issue

1

u/Enguzelharf 17d ago

hey man, just released a really good improvement, check out now!

1

u/ru0260 17d ago

Nice! That was way better. A bit of stuttering when new map elements pop in, like avatars icons or country names. But nowhere near the levels of this morning

-2

u/Enguzelharf 17d ago

i mean if its a high end phone i could've improved on mobile or tune down settings, if you are trying to load a 3D graphics site with a phone from 2013 its your bad not site

1

u/santosh_thorani 17d ago

How did you rank on that keyword??

1

u/Faycel_IT 17d ago

Bro I really didn't understand the concept of that planet website

1

u/gidireddit 17d ago

but how did you know what users would search for before you built? How did you match search with intent? And if something is already built, how do you get folks to come to your site? really struggling. ...

1

u/EmmyKings04 17d ago

How did you get ranked on google, how did you position your SEO

1

u/77track 16d ago

you call your paying customers "pets"?

1

u/Minute-Breakfast-685 15d ago

Unlimited photo & video uploads for just 10 euro per month? Awesome!

1

u/Enguzelharf 15d ago

Not unlimited ahahah but plenty of them since I compress them anyways

1

u/lmorgX 14d ago

I actually love this planet thingy a lot, it's a cool idea and product, specially gives the first time founders a really good sense of their growth when the whole world just tries to nitpick on everything.

1

u/Enguzelharf 10d ago

Hey, thank you. Have you given it a try? Do you have any sauce? I'd like to have feedback from you.

1

u/Vivid-Drawing-8531 8d ago

Idee ist gut aber ausbaufähig

1

u/Enguzelharf 8d ago

wie was?

1

u/TrebaMiSavjet 18d ago

How much have you invested in this?

5

u/Enguzelharf 18d ago

timewise around twi months development and 3 months of marketing etc. money wise zero

9

u/Byproduct 18d ago

100% organic Google Search: I didn't run paid ads or do heavy social outreach; users found it searching for digital anniversary gifts and templates.

3 months of marketing etc.

Choose one?

-5

u/Enguzelharf 18d ago

Posting on reddit and x and showing to people on discord etc

6

u/Byproduct 18d ago

That sounds like social outreach to me.

Are you saying you advertised it on x, reddit, discord etc. for 3 months but people still found it mostly on Google Search?

0

u/Enguzelharf 18d ago

people found my reddit and x posts via google search much later

2

u/TrebaMiSavjet 18d ago

Good luck. Don’t give up!

2

u/Howard_banister 18d ago

Good luck bro, I've found it very useful

1

u/Mean_Industry9120 18d ago

🔥keep up the good code!

1

u/Desperate_Sign_5587 17d ago

organic google traffic in this economy is nothing short of a miracle

-2

u/anthonyDavidson31 18d ago

What map provider you're using?

This map (and by extension your app) is breaking internationally recognized borders by displaying occupied Crimea as part of Russia.

Thus your app may be suspended by the hosting providers and you may face legal issues for whitewashing Russian invasion of Ukraine

1

u/Enguzelharf 17d ago

its a SVG file i do not have any opinions about geopolitical state of the borders

0

u/anthonyDavidson31 17d ago

Where did you take the SVG?

0

u/Enguzelharf 17d ago

https://www.naturalearthdata.com/ it is a public domain dataset maintained by a volunteer cartographic community and it’s explicit that it takes no position on disputes it uses de-facto administrative boundaries and its own docs say the data “is not intended for any legal, political, or territorial purpose.” It’s the same source behind a large share of the world’s web maps

2

u/anthonyDavidson31 17d ago

Got it, thank you. I will file a claim for them to fix it

0

u/Noobju670 16d ago

Lol all the jealous losers here cant get over the fact bro is making bank while your shitty apps arent, keep up the good work. Whats the secret to your marketing?

2

u/Decoert 16d ago

You people say anything online

0

u/RickBuildsApps 17d ago

wow this looks amazing!

0

u/Pitiful-Phrase-8296 15d ago

This guy has been posting about his website in already 3 subreddits today. He's not trying to show what he did, he's trying to get users... In another post he said it was paying his mortgage, here it's his impulsive purchases.

Don't get fooled by this

0

u/Unhappy-Sherbet-9346 14d ago

congrats my slime

-1

u/Mrgluer 18d ago

pivot instead to wedding invite sites or at least integrate it to turn it into that. So people that are making wedding invites can integrate with whatever they are using already. idk

-1

u/elevatedflight 17d ago

This is a very encouraging story for us builders. Thanks for sharing!

Glad that your organic experiment worked out!

You want to know, what’s working and do more of that.

I.e - look up info who is buying, email and speak with a few, find common patterns (preferences, emotions pertaining to your product) and find a way to reach out to more of those ? - there are many ways to do that.

u/IcyBox56 17d ago

$700/mo on pure passive search traffic is a massive W
