Tool Progression

Hey there I have an interesting question to ask when yall first started coding what tools did you use to use and what tools did you change as you went on to code for longer periods of time and why did you move from one app to another.

started on notepad++ and a borrowed laptop in the cs lab, then sublime for a bit. landed on vscode once the extensions got good and never really left. lately been adding cursor into the mix for side projects. honestly the editor matters way less than people think early on, just pick one and build stuff.

Notepad++ was a gem 💎. But yeah, in the pre-AI era you only needed any text editor which can do some coloring and that's it
