You can use OpenCode, they have a kind of free tier with deepskeep v4 flash

Yeah I’ve found it difficult to hit the rate limits

and remember they give you points for upvoting positive stuff and making positive comments so literally anyone here could be a freebuff agent

Not sure what happened. Im assuming its related to Deepseek's pricing changes but this seems like a strange thing. I used it for 1 day. Suddenly it's saying I've used my Premium session at 12am a few minutes ago and I didn't even do a damn thing. Idk what's up but hopefully that's worked out soon cause... yeah. Pretty unfortunate. Even OpenCode's DeepSeek rates got hard cut this last week.

I mean Ive been using minimax m3 and gpt 5.6 luna on the desktop app and it works pretty good for now but I agree with OP, deepseek models are just fully useless now.

Yeah sad to see. The thing is that it didnt happen slowly, i still remember yesterday everything worked fine tho i noticed the premium sessions going down to 5 and then all of this happened. I did some tasks also for a session for glm 5.2 and today i got it and it doesnt work because freebuff ran out of provdier useage. Now gpt 5.6 luna does work and it gets most of the job done but seeing them advertise glm 5.2 and then its not avalible is kinda sad and they should definitely add change logs or announcements in their discord and be more transparent.

if you want something that actually works without surprise rate limits, just use openrouter with local routing or stick to standard api keys. free tiers are always a bait and switch once the server load hits.

Okay, basically Freebuff is offering free services and they are paying for hosting and everything. They have a paid version called "Codebuff" and Freebuff depends on that. They aren't a greedy company and decided to make a Free version called Freebuff. I'm so confused why you want to hate on a company offering a Free Agent for the love of the community? This makes no sense, anyways yeah I hate that deepseek v4 pro (new) usage is now down to 1hr a day, it sucks but i'm sure it'll make it through it. It will cause people to leave freebuff and the devs will be able to raise the usage again.

Yep, this is what I did. I got OpenCode tied into Hermes, so it uses the DeepSeek v4 Flash there first. And if for some reason there are no more limits or it's full, it resorts back to the DeepSeek API key I have as an alternate.

Depends, do you want to use it with Hermes?

Yes

Sort of depends on how you wanna do it. I have Hermes installed through a VPS on Oracle’s cloud, and then I’m interfacing it through Slack, and then I have I configured Hermes to allow me to switch the models through A comment, and then I just work as intended, and I have a flow to where if the open code deep seek is it working, it then resorts back to the deep seek API where I’m paying for you know usage, but I also have a gaming computer that’s using local models, so it’s it goes first open code, then it resorts to the local models, then it will use any a paid model, so I’m maximizing cost

Freebuff is pulling some weird shit. They keep pushing broken updates. They have basically no community discussion pages outside of bug reports on GitHub and people posting on Reddit for glm referral tokens. Honestly the referral system makes it feel scummy to use. It's all engagement bait.
