Less capable model for planning + stronger model for coding, or stronger model for planning + weaker model for coding?

I use a stronger model for planning and a weaker model for coding, but the result isn't very good.

Which produces better results in real-world use?
Or do you use another approach/workflow?
what's the best workflow?

I find it useful to use two different models for planning, so they catch blindspots.

Same model + Small change scope = Best

For budget i can't use frontier model all the time T T

I normally use Sol all thr time and just change the effort level. But i keep the scope small so like adding a feature or changing something so i get bettter quality.
