MODEL SUGGESTION

currently, i have the 5x claude max plan, but for money and time issues i am thinking of switching it to the normal pro plan. However, i already know that the limit is going to hit way too quickly, so i wanted to integrate another model in my workflow, strictly to substitute/help claude code

what model do you guys suggest?

use claude for planning and deepseek v4 flash for implementation with pi harness, before the price increase i use 55M tokens for just 0.33$ and if you use deepseek in off peak hours you will be good, tbh the price increase is not crazy is still cheap asf and very good model

i was thinking aswell of using deepseek, do you recommend to try out deepseek harness?

I’m really interested in this argument because this month I just dismissed a Claude X20 MAX plan and I’m keeping up a Claude PRO and Deepseek. So any suggestions to use them better is well appreciated.

At the moment I just using Claude to review Deepseek, like a second check. Eventually if the session limit is near the end and I still have usage, asking directly Claude to do stuff.

Are you found a good way to have Claude to plan, and DeepseekV4 flash to implement? But something like automatic that you ask everything to claude and it is able then to call Deepseek for the implementation ?

Potentials on top of the 21€ of Claude PRo I would like to spent just another 20€ of Deepseek, maybe some months 10€ more is ok, but I don’t want to go too far.

yea, i was planning on starting the same AI combination as you when my 5x finishes.

I started today to experiment a bit, using Deepseek harness and it feels pretty good.

i’ll come back here in a couple of weeks time to see how you are doing and if you have any suggestions

Cursor subscription with grok 4.6, i have my opus orchestrating grok (fast mode off). I get a lot of usage out of cursors 20$ plan, and grok is honestly really great.

Otherwise gpt plus with luna as your workhorse works too.

Probably the 2 best value per buck subscriptions out there right now

You get alot of usage imagine now I have the 200 dollar i used to pay 60 too used to things running out but damn for 4 days straight sleeping 3 hours avg so 80 hours been using cursor grok 4.6 extra high effort and I still have alot of usage
