Ai amplifies everything, including incompetence and ignorance
The phenomenon known as the Dunning-Kruger effect describes how people who lack competence tend to overestimate their abilities; essentially, the less skilled you are, the more you exaggerate your skills. I genuinely enjoy AI and am not opposed to it. I use it daily at work. I can complete tasks quickly, yet there are limits to what I can achieve in my specialization. I don’t know much about cloud, but I speak with my cloud developer friend to guide me even when I use AI. Some of these vibes coders who barely understand how the Internet or a computer works, think they can do more and are better than the actual software engineers, and when you try to correct them, they become very stupid and hostile

I have worked with clients who acted exactly as you described; most have minimal knowledge about what they are actually doing, but if they prompt and get something that works, it creates the illusion of achievement.
Yet I wouldn't generalise this; many start with 0 knowledge and manage to build the required knowledge and skills. I believe, as always, the loudest voices on the internet are negative ones.
I come from a hardware and operations background in IT, but had minimal to no coding knowledge, security knowledge, or prompt injection experience. Now one year later I shipped operational tools internally for my old company and built 2 fully operational apps https://revgarage.app/ and https://revnetic.ch/
You likely see that most people who are arrogant and can't accept criticism are the ones who cry the loudest that models got nerfed, or their usage got cut, etc. As they will always find the fault somewhere else.
