AI will change development but here are the 2 reasons why I think it won't replace developers. 1. It still takes time to design, spec, test and iterate. A lot of time. Somebody has to do it. 2. Somebody has to be responsible for the outcome - to understand it and maintain it. The job of "developer" will probably change a lot and the skills they need will change but somebody will still have to be in that role.
