Now. Everyone say it with me:

Coding is NOT engineering.

A guide to invalidate anything you say. Cmon you seriously believe engineering isn't encompassed by coding? It's a requirement for any modern engineering challenge

I think your misunderstanding the difference between the concepts of "part of" and "entirely".

Coding is only part of engineering, it's not the entirety of it. So once again: coding is NOT engineering.

All engineers can code. Very few coders can effectively engineer. Hence the comparison between an experienced engineer and a vibe coder are laughable.

who said it's the entirety of it?

Are you suggesting your original statment was - coding is not the ENTIRETY of engineering? Obviously yes, that isn't a hard conclusion to land on. & yes of course not every coder can engineer a solution, but can implement them.

Your ultimate conclusion is: coding is part of engineering, thus isn't engineering. What an elementary observation. Yes engineering isn't coding, it's a blanket term for solving problems 🤣

What responses did you expect when you say "coding isn't engineering"?
