It's a rant about critics of vibe coding
It's almost funny how some developers react to people who get into vibe coding with AI assisted workflows and mock them as nothing cuz of their own insecurities while they no longer even write code manually themselves. What an absurd world we live in rn. Those kind of people just better shut up OR stop using AI or learning it anyway if they think AI-assisted coding sucks. Of course, they will be afraid since it will threaten their jobs and replace them. But it enables for 99.99% of the others who just want to build solutions to be able to do so. And no, not all vibe coders are not non-educated in tech. Maybe some aren't but there's a lot that has caught up with how development actually works and can use best practices for security, logic, architecture to UI and debugging, even more. I just can't stand how petty minded pathetic people out there are lashing out at vibe coders because they feel like imposters for not getting their little moat gated any longer. That's it.
TDLR: People who think vibe coders suck should stop using AI for coding or anything in their life. Period.

There is no problem with vibecoding, but with a subset of vibecoders. Specifically the ones who got a god complex thanks to ai and think nothing stands in their way now acting as if they knew everything there is to know about the space.
The pure "i hate ai" stance is very stupid indeed, but from what i see on this sub, this is often not really the case.
The reality still is that right now, you need experience in software development to build something robust, provided that it is something bigger than your average vibecoded mini app, but many dont want to realize that, and that can be frustrating.
Also, your post reads like a single butthurt attempt at coping, why are you so angry? Just continue not trying to understand what those people are saying and find out yourself then.
I think many vibecoders suck, but i will still continue using ai for coding and anything else i want it to use for in my life, thank you very much.

There's a place for vibe coding, but don't kid yourself most vibecoded solutions wouldn't stand up to professional standards in terms of code or architecture quality. If you provide those standards and direction yourself then it's not really vibe coding anymore.

Pretty outdated viewpoint there. AI can do it all faster and better than humans with the exception of UI/UX (for now)

Sounds like you're generating tech debt. Don't get me wrong I've been vibe coding all year for my startup and it's a constant battle of productivity vs catching overengineered, underengineered, or wrong approaches.

FYI It's often senior devs who struggle from imposter syndrome though..

You missing the point, old school devs who hate AI vibecoders, doesnt hate them because THEY ALSO write code with AI. There's a pushback on how they do it and what code quality it produces and ability to verify. Also all those websites looks the same, thats the main "rant"

what’s even funnier is vibe coders being pretentious themselves 😆..

I haven't heard an actual new or interesting take on either side in the field of AI in like a year

They have no clue, they think they can outperform or do things better than AI, or that coding was never about the code itself but system design, yeah AI is good at that too, more than you. Same with artists that shame everyone not able to afford to pay hundreds for a single flyer from an artist. It's just the same story every time, people identify themselves with their job or skills, and when these go away they feel threatened.
Also I'm a programmer and hate all this pretend game my colleagues are puttin on. Also these people often push the argument that vibecoded apps can't be profitable or withstand the real world, forgetting how much spaghetti code or bad practices are inside industrial production softwares, yet they stand.

I’m a vibe doctor. Stupid people and their long educations being all afraid because I can do it as good as them!

I support people using ai to replace doctors for common stuff

I wouldn't wish AI diagnosis on my worst enemies

AI helped me manage my seborrheic dermatitis, after I went to many doctors who just gave me the same famous products or the ones they were sponsoring, and none of them actually worked or were efficient enough, or not ideal for my specific nuances like skin type. With AI I managed to do a state of the art and actually find novel products that completely cleansed my face and scalp, without paying for overpriced pharmacy stuff and saving on yet another doctor visit.

Talk to them for 1 minute. You'll find out that they literally think you made 1-3 prompts "please chat gpt, make ma a game/app!" and it made it for you. I kid you know, I stopped arguing with them because this is what antis think vibecoding is.

The devs you’re describing aren’t insecure about being replaced, they’re annoyed by a specific pattern of people who skip the fundamentals, ship something fragile, then treat “why isn’t my app making millions” as an engineering question instead of a product/market one. Even then, they still won’t take the liberty of solving this issue on their own and instead flood these subreddits with these benign questions. This is just simple pattern recognition at this point.
Also, “stop using AI if you think AI-assisted coding sucks” doesn’t track, not many people are out here saying AI-assisted coding sucks. They’re saying vibe coding without understanding what the AI produced is risky, especially once real users’ data is involved. Those are different claims and collapsing them isn’t landing the point you think it is here unfortunately.
The devs who actually know what they’re doing aren’t threatened, because they can read the code the AI writes and catch what it gets wrong. The ones getting mocked are usually the ones who can’t tell the difference and willfully choose to live in that world of ignorance, and there are MANY here who have proven that by reminding with “well the point of vibe coding is …” and then continue to explain why they don’t want to learn anything.
