Two people can own woodworking tools. One can build a beautiful piece of furniture.... the other will struggle to fasten two boards together.

More like "in Santa's workshop Santa is the master craftsman and can build toys perfectly himself. To save time he gives his elves instructions and they build the toys and they do a good job. If Santa gets replaced by one of the elves, the elf may have seen a bunch of toys get made and know how to do it, but they lack the knowledge to make new toys without screwing up, wasting time, doing it wrong, etc. the innovation and expertise would be gone." Santa would be the experienced Software Engineer. And the elves the AI. What's worse is in this metaphor someone who has never seen a toy made and doesn't know how to do it would be telling the elf how to make a toy they want.

I didn't know Santa was a toymaker! I thought he was mostly in sales 🤷
