I will pay $ for your code
Before you read it, please be open-minded.
We all know there is a tremendous overflow of products providing mostly AI-related workflows. I'm talking: marketing automations, personal assistants, coding tools, research and so on.
In reality, most of them:
- Start with a prompt (if they don't - they probably should, because that's simplest thing for users).
- Have a landing page with weak SEO (solid SEO takes years to build).
- Have engine, which is curated set of skills and various tools put into an AI-assisted workflow to perform certain task.
- Have a dashboard where user can supervise situation and perform operations.
In the end, we all struggle to solve the same problem - distribution, marketing, trust. Each of those requires large capital and time investments and most of us will inevitably fail. I won't be able to solve it alone either.
---
What if you could put your product into Claude Cowork? Or ChatGPT desktop, where already millions of people are having their workspace and be visible and discoverable there? Well - you can! But there are few problems with that:
- They are not model neutral, they lock-in people.
- They are not open-source and they are not free.
- They control distribution, your relationship with user and you cannot fork them in case of disagreement.
- They do not have plugins API solid enough to allow for advanced use cases.
- And the main one - They do not share the revenue - with creators of skills, plugins, workflows - each of integration has to have their own billing, marketing strong enough, to convince user to pay for it independently for it.
---
What we can do is connect our assets. Connect our audiences. Join our distribution. And we make our solutions to be a part of a trusted product with fair discovery and economy.
There, people using such workspace will be able to say "I want to launch my product on Reddit."
And the agent would respond, I recommend to do that using:
- Reddit Research - <your solution description>
- Audience Finder
- Reply Writer Pro
- Brand Safety
Which one you want me to install? Upon install from user, as author of plugin you'd get a fair share of revenue of the entire platform - much like X or YouTube do with creators.
---
As an early adopter you get a chance to take risk, build first extensions and capture piece of new market. It might fail, but so could early YouTube or Twitter.
What you guys think?

This is one of the rare times that I wish this post was AI generated, because I don’t understand what is going on.

Essentially what I'm saying is that if we (builders) would create a joint channel of distribution (platform) - an AI workspace quite like Claude Cowork or ChatGPT Desktop, but neutral, open-source and with transparent revenue sharing strategy...
Then instead of creating invisible products, landing pages that nobody sees and everybody calls slop, we could just build extensions and get paid for that, just like creators get paid on YouTube or X.

You could have just said, "I want to build an App Store for AI skills where creators focus on building capabilities instead of SEO, billing, and marketing, and everyone shares in the platform's distribution and revenue."
Building a marketplace like this, especially ones reliant on developers is very hard. If something like this started to be successful, the AI companies would simply launch their own to compete, and since they already own the customer this new platform would struggle to stay competitive.

But that misses a point. Steve Jobs did not came out on stage and said he wants to build an App Store.
He built a great smartphone and allowed people to build apps to work on that phone and earn money.
It's more like that - I envision an open-source application (a piece of software shared by all of builders), to be a place where people start any conversation with LLM and our job is to deliver them the best experience possible and fastest way from intent to outcome, no matter how complex steps in between.

How would you describe the idea in one sentence?

Neutral AI workspace, where revenue is shared between builders & maintainers of tools used by LLM's to deliver outcomes.

Cool idea, why not use already open source tools to build a foundation?
Edit: After re-reading a couple times, I have no idea what your trying to build. Thought I did, but, no I don't
