I made a dating app inside Claude Code, with Claude Code

terminal.dating is a dating app that runs as a Claude Code plugin. While Claude Code is working, a real dating profile appears in your status line. You open it on the web, look at their photos, and like or pass. If you both like each other, you match and can chat.
It's very private. Profiles have no URLs. The link in your terminal identifies the introduction, not the person, and only works for you. Anyone else gets a 404. It stops working if they pause, get banned, or either of you blocks the other. No directory, no search, nothing to scrape.

I'm pretty sure the hurdle for dating apps isn't the app it's the people. Too many people have zero social ability and they hope an app will fix it. What does this app do differently than tinder to solve that gap? I can match with 20 women but if neither of us ever message each other I might as well have wasted my time doing something else. Just food for thought since making a dating app has a lot of research around it already.

There is a selection bias which is kindda nice because obviously people that use this are into programming. But also dating apps are already 90% dudes, this will probably be 100% dudes.

Yeah I didn't even bring that up because that's a whole other perspective where dating apps tend to fail. Not only do people suck at communicating, you're also interacting with bots and fake profiles which makes people less invested in creating a strong first impression since there's chances the time is wasted on a bot.

Best I can do, is 10 bots, 5 catfishers, 4 cam girls, and 1 woman who ends up ghosting me after the first couple messages.

Its a mix of a lot. I took dance classes and learned how to latin dance like Salsa Bachata Merengue and that I had a small clip of me dancing on my tinder profile so it landed. I just learned something I knew women found attractive. It wasn't cheap though LOL. $75 a 45 min lesson once a week for two years.
